lacking
when i got the book i was impressed with the size of the book (its really big size wise) and with the number of pages of it. Unfortunatly this book doesnt have a whole lot going for it.The artwork is nice but most of it is just a bunch of pics from the LoN card game thats been blown up to size. The first part of the book talks about how the game got started which kept me interested and thats from someone who cant stand reading stuff due to my ADD. They also have some humorous and entertaining stories from some of the creators. It gives some details of the expansion packs, some barely have any info. The rest of the book talks about EQ2 and LoN which is odd since none of those are close to 10 years old. I would prefer just a book on EQ only which i would assume the majority of you feel the same. I wouldnt mind a few pages on EQ2 and LoN but come on, no need to make a large portion of the book on it.But believe it or not it doesnt even list the EQ storyline. I know you can download the storyline online and print it out but i would love to have it in the book. Not only that they didnt get into any interesting events such as the destruction of the city of Firiona Vie, the first time the sleeper got taken down, holiday events such as halloween, frostfell, ect. They talked about one or two gm events they did back in the day but nothing really interesting, they dont even mention the halfling jump/skydive thing they used to have awhile back.No mention of the EQ movie being released in late 2010 assuming they dont fall behind schedual too much. There is just so much stuff they could have talked aboutI would like to perhaps see a DVD release that perhaps gives information on story, events, footage of early stages of EQ (even beta if available), interviews, ect. I feel as if they didnt care about the book and threw in as much pretty artwork as they could in there.Overall its not the worst book in the world but it was definitly lacking ALOT.

Everquest - A pleasant game to enjoy and play.
For all intents and purposes it was a good book that gave a lot of background history for and about Everquest. If you like the lore, the stories and are an off/on player I would fully recommend you get this book. No questions. Although I hope soon they'll add in UF/HoT too.

A Must-Have!
Lots of Nostalgia in this book. I still have all of the Action figures and signed Lithographs pictured in this book! I haven't played EQ in some time, but it is fun to read about it's history from time-to-time!

Pretty good for the fans
I got this today, and was impressed with the size and presentation of the book, especially for this price. The book is quite art heavy in places, although alot of it is original design sketches, diagrams, and behind the scenes artwork, which I havent seen before, and thought was cool to see how the places I know had evolved from the design to live. The first half is about EverQuest 1, about how it was concieved, and how it came to go live etc. The second half is about EverQuest 2 (which I play now), and again its interesting to see the original designs, and hear from the designers and producers through the ages. All in all, I thought for the price, its a pretty good buy for fans of the EverQuest franchise, and I would recommend it.

Fantasy Landmark
This is a beautifully produced, large-format book which will enhance your EverQuest experience. It looks back over the game's first ten years, as well as forward. The colourful illustrations are excellent and are on every page; they include concept art and preliminary design sketches for all kinds of game inhabitants, both players and prey. Stories from the game's creators abound, too.
