Great Value
Fantastic product for the price, has 2 level light (which is very bright), it stands on end and you can use the lantern. All lights are LED. It is very lite and the hand grip is very comfortable. The radio works nicely. I have purchased other brand emergency flashlights and for the price this one outdoes most. You have a handcrank to power up the unit or you can put in four C batteries to power it. I will say the one thing that could be improved on is the handcrank, it is flimsy and if you crank to hard it seems very possible to break it off.

Sturdy Little Number !
I thought I was getting something pretty light and plasticky, but this Weather X Weather Radio is sturdy and has some useful features. I have a couple of these crank NOAA radios, and there has been a design flaw in that the crank doesn't stay tucked in and just dangles and flops all around. This model is more thought out, and I can really see it living up to be a good flashlight and lantern. The WF382R does not have the weather alert feature so look carefully for this if you need an emergency radio to wake you up for tornadoes, etc.

Great buy! While factory charge lasts.
****Edit****Bought almost 5 years ago. Took out of storage for Hurricane Irma. Internal battery unusable. Must keep cranking to use. Weather was station could not be picked up. Similar or lower priced radio bought just as long ago from another brand worked like a champ. When I opened the box it still had charge from the factory! Its very easy to use and the build quality is better than I expected for what I paid! The sound you hear is also pretty darn good! Don't expect Bose sound but for a little portable radio its really good.As for the light its also pretty bright!I was so happy with this purchase I bought a second one and gave it to my dad as a gift.Would recommend for any one that needs a low priced emergency radio/light for home use.It looks like it may be sturdy enough for light camping use if taken care of.

Lantern is great, NOAA radio not so much
We gave this as a gift, then heard back they couldn't get any reception from NOAA band, which was their main wish. They loved the lantern aspect, and the AM/FM reception is OK, but we had to replace it with a different emergency radio due to NOAA issue. Will report on that one when we hear back.

Good features for price, but touchy on/off buttons = drained batteries
I'm reasonably happy with this radio flashlight given the price. It's got a lantern, flashlight, and AM/FM radio, which makes it great in an emergency. It's not going to be the brightest LED flashlight given the price point, and that's OK. The crank feature is a plus as well.My complaints:- The on/off switches are very touchy. The flashlight switch has 4 points on it - Hi - Lo - Off - Lantern (in that order). The radio switch is a dial that goes from off to gradually higher volumes once you pass a "click." I keep mine in a drawer next to my bed, and I've found the batteries dead on this multiple times with almost zero use, which leads me to believe that it got turned on very easily by me rustling through my drawer.- As others mentioned, the radio dial is very touchy and doesn't work too well.In a pinch, this is something good to have, but I'd recommend keeping it someplace where it will not be touching anything - either stand it upright on a table, or hang it by its wrist strap in a closet.

the lights are good and bright
the lights are good and bright. easy to use switches. the radio portion works great and Is fairly loud and clear. The downside that I find with it is the crank. It is a collapse able arm the folds into the flashlight. when cranking it feels flimsy and sometimes folds over as you crank. other than that it works great and charges up quickly. great for emergencies

This flashlight is a welcome companion, especially during a storm.
After Hurricane Irma this fall I realized a "flashlight" such as this was a welcome friend. The spotlight is bright and illuminating and the Weather Band and AM/FM are really welcome during a storm. I gave several away as Christmas gifts and people were pleased with them and interested in seeing how they worked.

A must-have for storm and tornado season!
When you live in Tornado Alley like we do, having a reliable weather radio is a must. My family had a below-ground storm shelter installed just before the start of tornado season, and this was one of the first supplies we bought to keep with us in the shelter. It's definitely a must-have. When the tornado sirens went off one weekend and we took cover below ground, we could still dial in the signal of the local TV stations and get weather updates with clear sound. The styling and design of this product, with two flashlights and the handle built in, is also a plus. Now that storm season is over, this is our go-to flashlight/radio that we keep in our house for whenever we need it. We'll likely buy another one to keep in the house or garage as well. Great buy for the money!
