IMHO, Tracy Brogan is the John Grisham of romance novels
If you check out Amazon's best sellers in romantic comedies, three of her novels occupy the first five spots: #2: "Love me Sweet", #3: "Crazy Little Thing", and #5: "The Best Medicine".Her novels are all crack up, keep-your-spouse-awake-all-night comedies. I cannot fathom how she manages to write complete novels where almost every other line makes me laugh out loud! How does she manage that?!?! I have been reading romance novels for 30+ years and I have never seen any other author do something even remotely similar. She is one of a kind! And her characters are impossible not to love right away, from Crazy Little Thing's aunt Dody, who *really* takes the cake, all the way to even the dogs and cats:"Lazyboy and Fatso, two burly, uncouth hounds of indeterminate breed and negligible manners, slathered me with wet, sloppy kisses. Their love was unconditional, their drool indiscriminate. I raised a knee to nudge them away, but they persisted as if I had bacon in my pocket. They quivered with adoration. Oh, to be a dog and experience such uninhibited joy." B*tchy, the cat: "She was disdainful in the way only a cat can be. I was beneath her contempt".My hands down favorite anti-hero is Richard, Sadie's (the Crazy Little Thing's heroine) philandering, a**hole ex-husband:"I wasn't entirely surprised to catch him at an office party with his hand up the skirt of a giggly, jiggly redhead.""Richard never opened doors for me, not even when I was in labor. He was too busy worrying my water might break in his new Lexus.""My ex-husband frequently talked with his mouth full.""Richard didn't like to be tied down with tiny details, such as keeping promises to his kids.""Richard flirted with waitresses in the most obnoxious fashion, insisting it was only to get better service.""Richard loved to repeat stories of my misadventures. Like the time I accidentally ripped an incredibly loud f*** during a funeral at precisely the moment the priest asked if anyone had something they'd like to share".I also immensely like Libby's dad (Libby is the heroine from "Hold on my heart") and his silly endeavors:"This could be really fun. Remember when we built the birdhouses together? We had a great time, didn't we?""We forgot to add holes, and the birds couldn't get in."He shrugged. "Sure, but they enjoyed sitting on the roofs. And cr**ping all over them."

Book 3-Series Still Going Strong
The third book in A Bell Harbor Series is another winner. These books are about all the things you want in a sweet "chick lit" romance; a lovable heroine, a hunky hero and a zany cast of characters that has you smiling to yourself. In, Love Me Sweet, Delaney is a reality star that has to get away from home because of a sex tape of her that was released by an ex. Grant is a globe trotting camera man for an adventure show and decides he's had enough and comes home. A big part of whether a romance works for me is how they meet and the meeting of Delaney and Grant didn't disappoint. Delaney literally walks in on Grant in her thought to be her own shower in her rented house. In reality it's Grant's house and the humor and cuteness begins. They decide to live together as roommates for awhile and the fireworks start immediately. The chemistry between them was sweet and believable. In addition, Delaney now going by Elaine to help disguise her identity is now taking the time to discover herself and grow which made me like her even more. What Tracy Brogan does well is write about a zany cast of side characters that make you want to meet them too. We also caught up with some of the characters from book 1 and book 2 - you have to love Fontaine. I have to say after reading all 3 books in the series this one is probably the most steamy. I liked the added steam and it was not overdone or take over the story. Why not 5 stars? It's going to be extremely hard to live up to the first book in the series but I would still recommend for a romance lovers.

But for the end...
This is a sweet book, with totally likable characters, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Right up until the conflict. So we all know how these books go: meet cute- getting to know you- fall in love- conflict- make up- hea epilogue. One of my favorite tropes. Delaney and Grant accidentally have to share a house, and sparks fly. There’s a lot of activity (none in the bedroom; this is a slow burn) before they take a road trip to recover Delaney’s backpack. They meet some great supporting characters before realizing their feelings for each other. Unfortunately, Delaney has been keeping secrets. Totally justified secrets, in my opinion. Of course, Grant finds out, but not from her, and he goes off the deep end. Instead of supporting the girl he says he loves, he coldly dumps her. This I can deal with. What I couldn’t stomach was Delaney’s constant apologies and acceptance of Grant’s behavior, as if everything were her fault. She was victimized, mocked, and humiliated, but when her lover finds out, all he does is accuse. I’m thinking a big old FU to Grant, who seems to think everything is all about him, and all she does is feel sorry for him. I lost all respect for the heroine of the story at that point, as well as interest in the book. I plugged on, up to the make-up scene, where he finally apologizes for being a jerk, but his apology falls flat with the excuse that he hates being lied to, while Delaney just stands there panting over his cologne. That’s where I just returned the book.Sorry, can’t recommend such a pushover heroine.

lighthearted funny read
I cannot think of anything better than a soppy romance novel to read whilst you’re sat alone on Valentine’s Day. After reading a previous bell harbour story I was intrigued to read another and I was not disappointed, the story was completely different which I loved but with the same style. I really liked that the author included characters that appear in the other bell harbour stories. This story is just really fun and I found it a really easy enjoyable read. I’m a massive lover of romance books that take place in small coastal towns and although this one is set in winter I still really enjoyed it.The main character Delaney is full of drama from the outset with secrets we don’t get to know right away, after running away from California to escape her dramatic life and also to escape the press. She ends up renting a house by the mother of a camera man who soon returns. They end up having to take a massive drive but a snow storm stops them in their tracks and they enlist help of a country boy band and their tour bus.The story is out there but really funny, you really connect with the characters and although it may be predictable aren’t most romances? I plan to read more bell harbour books in the future!

Believable. Sweet.
This was a truly believable story about two people who fell together by accident. One trying to run away from everything, the other trying to come back to his flat that he finds is now rented out. On the way they had several adventures and grew to like each other... Tracy has a nice touch to her writing and is fun and traumatic in adjacent paragraphs. Recommended...

Good looking boy gets good looking girl
Although we'll written with believable characters I'm fed up with all the romantic interest s being stunning or handsome when real people aren't. Most of us carry weight ,have bad teeth and/or hair but still fall in love and have fantastic sex .Please could the short ugly man be amazing and win the girl. Just once

Easy read if you're looking for something which does not ...
Nothing fancy, nothing exciting. Characters are a bit shallow for me but at least it is some development towards the end. Easy read if you're looking for something which does not require too much attention and too much thinking.
