I bought this book for my son after he read it in school. He loved the story so much he told me about it. The book has nice illustrations and the story is great. It teaches kids to embrace their differences and to appreciate others for their differences.

My son has a disability that really sets him apart from the other kids in his classes. He really relates to the boy in this story, and - I feel - actually seems to have more confidence in school the days after we read it at home. My older daughter also loves this story for the little romance that it portrays. A sweet story through and through for the whole family. #TheDeathDealerDiaries

Beautiful story!

I just came across this book in a small speciality bookstore. It is a beautiful story with equally as beautiful illustrations. Every now and then I come across a magical book that touches my heart and moves my soul... this is one of those books. I HIGHLY recommend this book to children of all ages. My 3 and 10 year old both love this story.

Wonderful, beautiful story, truly heartwarming

A sweet story, made me cry! Love the illustrations!

I bought this picture book for my young nephew (two years old). It's a bit advanced for him (although he was very excited just to receive a new book!) but I know I and his parents look forward to reading it with him as he gets older. It's wonderful to find a storybook with such a positive message about diversity and acceptance!

I love this book. Can't wait to use it in my classroom some day!

We were in a restaurant (Giraffe) when we saw this box of books for children. All were of good quality, but amongst them was this beautful bookwith an unusual title.We jotted down the title etc and after searching for it on Amazon we purchased it for our grandaughters in the US. It is a lovely story and is beautifully illustrated a must for every young child, who will enjoy reading it or being read to. The words and illustration will inspire a child and enhance their imagination.

Such a beautiful story which my 5 year old daughter loves. We love barefoot books, they teach children diversity, equality and values such as kindness and compassion. Cannot recommend enough!

Very pretty pictures and a solid story about how it's ok to be different.

The boy who grew flowers is a very sweet story that -imho- any child would find lovely. The protagonists have this rare quality, kindness, and are people with flaws-- things which any child should actually read about.
