I enjoyed using the glass one for years. This one is ceramic. It works. It seems to work differently than the glass one. By that I mean the glass one rattled around more in the pot while cooking. The glass one is heavier and has larger raised areas. That may be the difference. I will continue using it for as long as it lasts.
