## Overview

Vesicularia dubyana, known as Christmas Moss, is a slow-growing aquatic moss with distinctive fir-like branches. Ideal for low-light aquariums, it securely attaches to wood and rock, requiring minimal maintenance. Sourced from Europe with zero pesticides, it’s perfectly safe for shrimp and beginner aquarists seeking natural, elegant greenery.

## Description

A moss speciality from Brasil, 1-3 cm tall, called "Christmas tree moss'', because of its side branch structure which distinguishes it from ordinary Vesicularia dubyana and looks like fir tree branches. It is more demanding than ordinary Java moss and grows more slowly. It attaches readily to roots and stones, and as it spreads in the water it needs pruning to keep its shape attractive. See also Taxiphyllum barbieri.Note: Christmas moss consists of small moss branches (ranging from 5-15mm long) so is trickier to tie onto wood or rock. Use lots of Aqua Fine Line (sold separately) to anchor it down.

## Features

- Slow growing aquarium moss - perfect for tying onto wood or rock
- Prefers lower light in general - position towards bottom of your aquarium
- Shrimp safe - European producer, so no pesticides EVER used
- Great for beginners - undemanding and relatively easy to grow
- Perfect for low tech plants where minimal maintenance is required
