expensive and inconsistent
SEE EDIT BELOWI buy these for dental health and saliva stimulation following radiation therapy for throat cancer. They work very well, and I think they are overall a good product. No, they don't last long-- they dissolve within a minute or two at most, but they still do what I need them to do, and there are a lot of them in a box so a package lasts a long time. One star off for being expensive and inconsistent: I have received tins that have light yellow, solid color candies that are quite sour, and I have received others that are darker pink with lots of flecks of purple in them which are sweeter and more fruity. Both are fine, but the manufacturer is clearly a little unsteady in their production.Edit January 2015: Changing my rating to two stars because of product inconsistency. See my photo-- the yellowish candies are the previous batch I got, and the pink ones are the most recent. Yellow: tart, hard, last for a couple of minutes -- good overall. Pink: soft, crumbly, gone in moments, turn to powder if you carry the tin in your pocket for a day -- lame and crappy overall.Another reviewer posted a photo similar to the pink ones, which leads me to think that is how they are supposed to look. Too bad.Maybe the yellow ones were a bad batch or something, but they were superior candies either way.

Prefer "Mints" to these "Candies"
First, I'll start off by saying that we are regular customers of Xyla mints and take two mints after each meal as part of our regular dental-health routine to help reduce acidity and demineralization. In another review, I rated Xyla "mints" as 5 stars, but I will only rate 4 stars for the Cherry Blast "Candies" as we prefer the taste of the chocolate and mint flavors and these Cherry Blast "Candies" more excessively crumble than even the "Mints" leaving a heavier powdery residue in the tin container and thereby resulting in less edible mints. Although both the "Mints" and "Candies" have the deficient crumbling property, the crumbling deficiency is more noticeable with the "Candies" . The "Candies" are often available at a lower price, but we buy the higher-priced "Mints" for the reasons cited. Before purchasing, take notice of the wording on the picture of the tin container of "Candies" versus "Mints" if this is a concern to you,

Natural. Sweet. Good for dental health!
I live in the desert, and when I sleep, my mouth and throat dry out to the point that it wakes me up. Xyla Candies dissolve in about 2 minutes. They have just a little tartness which creates saliva and I can get back to sleep quickly. I started using these because my dentist recommended them saying the xylitol, though sweet, does not feed mouth bacteria and in fact helps prevent cavities. It is a naturally occurring sugar alcohol. I have tried moisturizing mouth sprays, etc., but they never seem to work. These "candies" are just enough, even during the day, and I know I am not eating sugar or artificial sweeteners. In fact if dental experts are correct, I'm actually promoting dental health by using them. Gee, something that is semi-sweet, non-fattening, and good for you? Yikes!

ok
I really like the flavor but shortly after buying them I read the citric acid counteracts the benifits for your teeth. they disoved in my mouth quicker than I liked I usually ended up eating more than one at a time making the savings per candy not worthwhile. moisture got into the tin from when they where in my back pack in the rain they didn't get wet (no drops of water) but it effected the texture I am going to go back to spry mints but the ones I ordered are for christmas and I am sure they will go over well

Cherry super sweetness
Super sweet and eating too many sends me to the toilet. I can't always take the level of sweetness in these, but they are good on occasion. If the buzz is right good for my teeth too. Who knows about that , one day they say it's great, the next its the worst. I like them when I have sweet cravings, I just have to be careful to only eat a couple or suffer the consequences later.

great taste but dissolves quickly
Leaving same feedback as the watermelon flavor: Love this candy! Nice cherry flavor, no weird aftertaste. Quite enjoyable, only reason for a 3 star.. the candy does not last it dissolves very quickly. I was hoping for a hard candy to suck on but instead got a "mint" approx size of a tick tack that dissolves. Overall though I am pleased with this purchase.

OK, but not a breath mint, not a candy to suck on.
Taste is nice, but they are very small and 'powder' in the tin. Not strong flavor, NOT a breath mint! They dissolve quickly in mouth, so aren't really a good candy to suck on. Not really sure of the purpose. If I order again I will order a mint flavor and hope they help to freshen my breath.

The Cherry Blast Is My Least Favorite Flavor.
I think that the Cherry Blast flavor is very bland compared to the two other Xyla favors which I have tried. It is almost impossible to discern a cherry flavor whereas the Watermelon Splash and Grape Escape have much more flavor. I like the Xyla candies but will not buy the Cherry Blast flavor again.
