Throw out your TV ears and deal with these folks!
I was so grateful when TV Ears came out. Except the arms constantly broke. And, there is no glue, tape or anything that would hold that plastic together, trust me I tried them all. Over the last 5 years I had to buy 8 replacement sets. Plus, the TV Ears ear pieces were this foam that would come off and you had to constantly buy replacements. The foam irritated my ears and the arms were so tight I don't know how some males could wear them without them breaking. Also, the foam pieces wore out, became disgusting with ear wax and caked, it was a bit disgusting. I am female and have a pretty small head. Frustrated, I was pleased to see these TrueDio wireless ones come up for sale. I ordered a pair thinking the TV I have was a digital and when they arrived, they didn't work. I called their number on the box and was transferred to a very knowledgeable customer service rep. He figured out the problem within seconds and I needed a converter. He was very pleasant and offered me a good deal on the converter even though it was my mistake. I hoped the converter would get here before The Walking Dead came on and they arrived Saturday. :) Still waiting for find out what happened to Glenn though :( I thought the instructions for the converter were terrible but, a call to one of my older kids had me up and running. I love, love, love them. The arms are flexible, the standard headset plastic tips comfortable and the sound terrific. I saw some complaints about having some line of site problems and I noticed it too. I use them on my bedroom TV and noticed where I set the charger was lower than the footboard to the bed. I set a decorative jewelry box on the TV stand and set them on that. No further problems. Far better product than TV Ears and with all the contacts I had with TV Ears customer service over breakage (and I was not hard on the headsets, just taking them off would pop the arms) over the years resulted in them doing absolutely nothing about their most vulnerable problem. Nor caring about the consistent problem. I cannot say enough about TruDio Ears customer service it was just outstanding. I'm thinking of another set for the family room. So grateful someone is manufacturing the product that corrects a problem another company should have fixed years ago. Kudos to them.

I was glad to get this item
I was glad to get this item. It seemed like what I needed to hear programs on the TV and not blast my wife out of her chair. They head phones work fine, however there is a constant static pop and hiss. The static I lessened by moving the unit further from some electronic devices but it is still persistent. Also there is a point in the volume control that makes an echo between the headphones and the TV. If I pause the TV and resume the program there is a rather unpleasant pop in the headphones when the program resumes.I'm afraid that the headphones contribute to some headaches because of the constant hiss and static pop.I'm afraid that while they seem to be pretty good I just can't live with the static and hiss. I also can't put up with the on light that is on the front of the unit. If I sit in my chair the unit tilts up slightly and the on light shines in my eyes. I put a piece of tape over it so it wouldn't bother me.If I could figure out how to make the hiss and static go away they would be perfect for what I need. Can't say I'd recommend them to anyone without the caveat about the hiss and static.

EXPENSIVE HEADSET/SAME OLD POOR QUALITY
If your looking for something better then the $60 versions of this headset you haven't found it. Yes it will transmit a little bit through walls if you don't care if you only hear one out of every 3 or 4 words as it pops and cuts in and out. I returned the first one I ordered because it had a loud hiss, the digital input didn't work at all. The second one I tried didn't hiss but as soon as I got more then 12 feet away it's starts poping and cutting in and out. So you you might as well buy the cheep ones if all you want to do is sit right in front of the TV because all your going to gain with these is a bigger price tag.

Great device
I have a home gym (track, stair stepper, elliptical) in the garage with a flat screen and DVD player on the wall. I was blasting out the speakers on the TV to hear any movies I watched. Most times I could not hear clearly the sound so relied on the subtitles. I was very frustrated and decided to get this system to help in hearing the audio and not wake the neighbors. I arrived, I hooped it into the system and was operational in less than 5 minutes. The audio was flawless and in all honesty was almost too loud. The only CON I have is that it's a bit heavy if you are walking vigorously. As long as you keep it into your ears, you are good to go. Exercise on!

Hearing TV Made Easy with TrueDioEars.
I was ready to send these back because I couldn't get them to work for my husband. I tried to plug the connectors into the TV and it just wouldn't do anything except produce a little static. I got the bright idea from one of the reviews that I read to plug it into the cable box!!! They work great, My husband loves them. He can now watch TV and not have to add the caption lines in order to understand dialogue. The screwdriver for balance control was in a little package with other items and difficult to see at first, but it was included as advertised. So far, I would highly recommend this product.

Won't charge
Worked great for a couple of months now they won't charge. Bought them for my grandpa got it all set up for him. He had an older pair like them so he already knew how they worked and it had to light up to charge and everything came to visit and he said they haven't worked in a few months. I spent some time trying to make sure it wasn't just charging right. They are just dead. Won't charge again. Hard to find him a good set that last longer than a few months

Work well- good value
They work well. I'm using the Toslink input. The audio quality is very good. I like the RF capability much better than an IR version.<< Worth the extra cost. The 150' claimed range is a bit optimistic. 30-40 feet is more realistic and quite adequate for the usage expected by most people. There is a bit of a 'wind' noise. But it's easily ignored after a few minutes. Only really noticeable during quiet moments..
