Amazing book
I read and re-read this book while trying to get clean and sober. It was an immense help for conquering my addictions. I am now 3 years clean and give a lot of credit to this book .

Fantastic book for anyone dealing with addiction.
Of the many self-help books I have consulted, this one really rings true. It helped spark some excellent discussions and has gone a long way in helping our family to understand addiction and heal from it's unfortunate collateral damage.Skip the others ~ this book does not preach, judge or punish. It's a solid map for recovery, forgiveness and trust.

Practical, Hopeful Resource.
As a professional therapist, I have used this resource to guide my practice with clients who are in residential treatment. As an individual, I have benefited personally from the holistic and intentional approach to life which is promoted in this resource. I highly recommend it (and the accompanying workbook, which is also available on Amazon) for anyone in recovery, as well as for anyone who feels “stuck” in their person growth or maturity. This book is accessible, practical, comprehensive, and hopeful, and it does not get bogged down or overly technical. I’m planning to buy a few more (with the workbooks) to gift to loved ones.

Great information.
As a former Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor, I found this authors approach to recovery compelling. When I was in the field, all clients had the same treatment program and the drop-out rate was very high. I can see the benefits of this approach which was brilliantly written. This book is a must read for substance abusers, addicts, and family members.

I have been in recovery ever since and still recommend this book to people all the time
This book literally changed my whole perception. I have tried all aspects of recovery and three years ago I read this book and something clicked. I read it three times. I have been in recovery ever since and still recommend this book to people all the time. My copy is still on my nightstand. It is a must read

A BOLD new approach that delivers SUCCESS.
Rewired by Erica Spiegelman provides a practical approach to addiction recovery, focusing on the recovery of body, mind and spirit through focal points such as: self-care, gratitude, time management, and my personal favorite-- authenticity. The author clearly communicates pragmatic addiction recovery philosophies, making it suitable for both newly recovering addicts and seasoned veterans. She connects to the reader on a personal level, revealing her personal hardships with addiction, triumphs, and success with helping other addicts through her private practice. She commands an authentic tone that demonstrates her knowledge of addiction recovery, which corresponds to her practical approach that can be applied to a variety of life situations. Furthermore, her "Real Recovery" stories showcase the success of her clients and provides hope to the reader that addiction can be defeated. This book provides the reader with a strong foundation of recovery philosophies, both wisdom and clinical based knowledge of addiction, and practical methodologies that can not only benefit a recovering addict, but any person in life.

Just read it. It's one of the few that actually helped!
One of the best books I've read on the subject, and I've read many. This spells it out as far as how the addict behaves...why...and what they can do to work towards a more positive future. It's good for caregivers...and for those who are battling the disease.

highly recommended!
I have been a counselor for 12 years with the majority of my work being in the addiction field. I found this book to be educational and inspiring. Highly recommended at minimum for a refresher and a reminder of why we choose to work in this field! A must read!

This book has no help in it at all for approaching addiction and is written like she's speaking to a 5-year-old
Revolutionary approach? Who in the world actually read this book and then found that appropriate? This book is so obnoxious! She basically says you need to be authentic but takes however many pages to do so. This book has no help in it at all for approaching addiction and is written like she's speaking to a 5-year-old. Don't waste your money.

Amazing book
I really am so glad I found this book. It has benefitted a love one in recovery immensely, as well as myself, a non-addict but looking to improve my outlook and my anxieties. This book is honestly written, genuine, and feels good to read. The author really is a caring person and pours all her knowledge and experience into this book to benefit anyone in need. It also offers questions and meditations to help you explore your feelings and behaviours on each topic. I will be buying and reading anything from this author and looking forward to her next book. If you’re considering this book, just go for it - it will benefit anyone who wants to improve their way of living no matter if they are an addict or not.

A fantastic piece of writing
Would I buy againYes.Erica's book is fantastic. The organization of topics make is a great resource to return to by chapter and section heading. Each chapter finishes with a series of questions to work through related to the topic. The structure makes it easy to review and apply after finishing the book. Erica has a unique style of writing where she shares relevant personal information to make the reader feel as though you have met her, yet it is balanced by her professional knowledge and work in the addictions field. This is a must read for professionals, addicts, friends and family members impacted by addiction.

Good resource for consumers and practitioners!
I found the book to be a fresh, holistic, and love-based model for recovery. From a practitioners' perspective, I love the little "workbook" questions at the end of every chapter for my clients to think about and implement.Easy to read.

Would recommend!
Having read heaps about rewiring the brain, I enjoyed Erica's book and approach to the subject of mindset shifting to change the approach to dependency.I am always looking for more ways to assist my own clients and this book (even though aimed at recovery) had some gems!! Would recommend!!
