I am totally new to woodburning. Have not used anything else before purchasing this.Works just fine, comes with a nice assortment of tools. I have only used it a couple of times but I like it. I gave a 4 star because it didn't come with info on what temps to use. I still am unclear on what temp to put on what. There is a contact email if you have questions and I send an email and ask. Another thing that bothered me was I have a hard time holding it anywhere even remotely near the tip, because of the heat, so it makes it difficult for me to be very precise. Perhaps this comes with practice. Maybe all woodburning pens are this way. I tried with an "Ov Glove" and that helped a lot, just is a little awkward. If you're not sure what an Ov Glove is, they are awesome. They are thick gloves you use on one hand and you can pull hot pans out of the oven. Overall, so far, I'm happy with my purchase.

This kit is super simple to understand and use. It is a great product

So besides the tear the supplies look nice although I haven't tried it yet! I think it would be helpful to have a zipper type pouch in the case to hold the small points and parts, otherwise one will have to be provided to keep them in the carry case!

Its a really great piece! The neck is very wobbly though almost as if it is going to break off.
