Key Stash1-Pack.. Hide-a-Key Self Adhesive Flat Pouch

I returned and purchased a similar item from the Dollar Store.

I wanted a non-magnetic pouch to hide a spare key on my car in case I get locked out. After two months of driving it is still there so the adhesive and velcro both seem strong enough. Buyers should know, however, that the pouch is designed for a house key (e.g. kwikset) which is thin and short, not for a long and bulky car key with electronic components such as many car keys have these days. I was able to fit mine in by cutting a slit at the narrow opening of the pouch to make it bigger, and the key -- not a full keyless entry fob but a "valet key" -- fits, but I can't close the pouch as snugly as if it were a small house key. It works fine but a car key specific pouch would be better.

As a number of reviews have mentioned, this is a tight case but I think you can probably see that in the pictures, can't you?This will not work for your giant key fob that also functions as an anti-theft device, car un-locker, electronic car door opener, remote starter and security system enabler. Nope. Won't work for those things.But if you have a simple, flat, single key, it's perfect.Remember, if you hide it like they show in the picture - behind the license plate - make sure that you always carry a pair of pliers and screwdriver with you so you can remove the tag. I have a better place for mine - I put it...Wait I can't tell you, can ?

It works... The velcro that sticks to the car seems small, they could easily make it the same size as the key holder itself. As others did, I made a small slit in one end of the pocket so that my car key would fit properly, but that is not a big deal.

I came to Amazon looking for a magnetic key box to hide on my car. After reading the reviews for magnetic key boxes and seeing this product, I decided it was the best option. Every time I gas up my car I'm reassured that my backup key is still in place and don't have to worry that going over a bump will unknowingly dislodge a magnetic key box making it necessary for me to constantly check and possibly replace my backup key and key box.

Grips and sticks well! Just make sure the stick it to an un-porus surface on your car and clean it well and let dry. Only downside is it may not be quite big enough for bulky modern keys and key fobs. Personally I had to edit the stitching to make more room.

Works like a charm, key under my car is all the security i need.. I locked myself out once, never again! It has its own sticky adheseve on the back, just peel iff paper and stick, and the velcro is handy to secure just about any size key, great buy!UPDATE Sept/2016: i had this on the bottom of my car, the sticky part dod not hold up and my key is forever lost... So i lost my key and this product. I suggest putting this somewhere more secure than right under your car... I must find another way to do this. 2 stars

Would have been fine if the adhesive of the velcro patch stuck to anything even slightly rough. Realistically, where are you going to put this, somewhere outside. Which means sticking it to the side of the house or a mailbox or in the garage or under a porch chair. The wimpy adhesive sticks to none of these. Maybe if you want to put it under your license plate as they suggest it will work, but it didn't stick to anything I tried. Tossed the whole thing.
