A chipping hammer is a tool used to remove welding slag from a weld and welding spatter from along side welds. Used by carefully swinging and hitting the weld to shatter the slag. To remove spatter, use the wide flat part of the chipping hammer and slide along the surface of the job.

It's about the same size for the one in harbor freight but it mght be stronger
I like that the paint didn't chip off on my first use. this is useful if u are doing Tig mig and stick welding. We will see if it goes well for helping me with stainless steel metal will recommend for iron workers and commercial building engineers

Great tool
Bought this after attending class at Lincoln electric welding school. Very durable does its job well. Being a beginner at welding I may be a little rough on chipping away at scale build up with the hammer coming out in perfect shape
