Leather Studio Amethyst Leather Paint

Worked GREAT! Only needed 2 coats but I added a third in some areas just to make sure it really looked good. I used this for shoes (after removing the sealer on the shoes already, do your research before just painting shoes) It was for a costume at a convention and even years later, I'm still proud to see that I'm usually the only person who has shoes so accurate to the character, thanks to this paint!(P.S. The shoes were white with subtle blue designs that I painted over with the white paint in this brand before I painted them with the red)

works great. Dries darker than when applied of course so dont freak out if its a lot lighter than your sofa.I also started using an artists paint brush but then in the more "cracked" areas simply put a tiny bit on a rag and rub it in. This seemed to fill the cracks pretty well and even blend out the color for a better match.

This product works well, dries nicely and has survived the first wear. The color match is slightly off though. So as long as you aren’t terribly particular with having an exact perfect match, as this is a virtually impossible expectation, you may enjoy this product.

Beware about second layer, I used this to paint over my favorite leather watch, which was also white. I did a thin layer at first, let it dry for about 6 hours, then did another layer (as the first one didn't quite do the job) and let it dry overnight. Still felt a little sticky the next day and immediately got dirty. Maybe I didn't do it right, but it didn't work for me, and I used as thin a layer of paint as possible to avoid it not drying properly.

Its been almost a month since I painted the clear glossy coat on the cracks and peeling area of my faux leather couch. So far it's holding up great. There was a very helpful YouTube video I watched where the lady recommended using this product.I've learned my lesson on buying this type of furniture and I will never do it again. But until I purchase another couch, this product is keeping it looking pretty good.I would advise using it before the material is actually peeling. Try to catch it early.

I made a Halloween costume for myself this year and wanted to paint on a leather skirt. I was nervous that perhaps the paint would peel or not stick, or wouldn't stay put if the leather moved or should bend in a strange way. But the pain stayed put!!! I would dare to say you could even cover a whole leather jacket in this paint and it will hold up for a long time! It's perfect.

Looked very nice nice when painted my daughters shoes. Let cure for 24 hrs, and they were all cracked and scuffed from one use. Very disappointing. Wish I would of bought a different brand.

I ordered this paint to turn some solid black wingtip shoes I'd purchased at a thrift store into classic black & white wingtips for my wife's surprise 20s themed 30th birthday murder mystery dinner party. The paint applied well, and only took 2 coats to make the white solid over the black. It didn't crack like acrylic paint would have with the movement and bending of my shoes when I walked. Great product.

The product achieves what is required of it with excellence and ease of use.
