This is the best price I could find it at and you CANNOT use the other brands or generic washer fluid. Why? Because the reservoir is located in the panel behind the front passenger wheel. The lack of exposure to light and/or normal engine compartment operating temperatures will allow algae/ mildew to grow which will plug up your windshield washer pump's filter (ask me how I know :/) This product has an anti-fungal or some such in it. The good news is, if that has happened to you (pump no longer pumpy) and you are marginally handy - as opposed to fully handy, you can remove the tire, remove the plasticized fiberboard wheel well cover, unscrew a couple of bolts, slide the reservoir forward, pull the no pumpy pump off the bottom of the reservoir, clean the filter of the ectoplasm that has built-up, and it should work again. That 30 minutes of effort will save you $300-$500 at a shop where they will probably just replace the pump and tell you it is bad. All that said, buy this concentrate and mix it with a gallon jug of distilled water. This bottle is distributed by BMW. At 4 oz concentrate to 28.5 oz water the mix will freeze at 20 degrees F. Here in Minnesota during Dec to March I use 8 oz concentrate to 12 oz Water for a freeze point of -25 F. I think in New York this would be overkill. **Q: Can I use this on Mercedes Benz?** A: Yes! I have been buying them "in bulk," but I live in a wintery climate. For one fill in a warm-ish climate one bottle will get you through a year (mixed with ~30 ounces of water). If they salt your roads during the winter and you have the ever-present white haze for months on your car and intend to keep the car awhile buy a dozen (~$7.91/ bottle when purchased in that quantity). If you have a friend or family member who has a BMW split a 12-pack. I like to have extra bottles around and I keep one in the car during the winter.
