Soft Cover Crystal TPU Clear Case for Sony Walkman NW A55HN A56HN A57HN A50 A55 A56 A57 with Screen Protector and Strap (Clear)

First, I was not given this product, nor any incentive for a favorable review.Aside from its sonic qualities, the Sony NW A55 has a slim elegance I didn't want to bury in a thick case. This case is made of a very tough, but thin, stiff plastic that fits the player tightly, and still leaves the size fairly intact -it's only 1 mm thick, and allows for the player to be seen. This will not, in my opinion, provide dent protection from a drop onto a hard surface from a standing height, nor, given its dimensions, would it be reasonable to assume that it would. It will, however, protect the case from scrapes and scratches. The top of the case does not cover completely to the screen, so a small amount of metal is exposed. The player still looks and feels good within the case, which was my goal. There is a flip out piece at the bottom that provides entry to the power port, as well as an opening for the headphone jack. the side for the power button, and volume controls is completely covered and has raised bits that correspond to the controls. While the controls can be controlled with the raised bits, I didn't care for the pressure needed -YMMV, so I very carefully cut out a space around each group -so a circle for the power; an oval for the volume rocker; and and oval to expose the other controls; it's now easy to access the controls by feel. This required a new blade on an X-Acto knife, and a LOT OF CARE, it would be VERY easy to deeply slice a finger while trying to penetrate and cut this very tough material. This was done with the case over a dowel that fit inside the case. If you try this, be very careful indeed not to force the blade, and ALWAYS keep your fingers away from the blade path. If I did this again, I would puncture the plastic with a blade, but then use a fine scissors to cut the shape out; it would be much easier, safer, and more precise.The case does what it says it will, and I give it 5 stars for that. It did come with a screen cover, but I didn't use it, so I can't comment on that. This case was great value and fits like a glove! It's clear so you still see the nice Sony NW-A55 metal through it. It seems to provide good protection but I haven't dropped my player on Cement or anything hard and hope I don't have to test this case. I have a feeling it will protect my player well if I ever drop it. Highly recommend!

I agree with others that the case is very practical and functions as advertised. As for the screen protectors, basically useless, no instructions and no contact film. It takes quite a bit of effort and patience to attach the lanyard to this Sony device but I do not think that is the fault of this case.

Works but is unnecessary.

It is cheaply made, it doesn't fit tightly, always overhang on the opening areas. Slippery materials. The screen protectors are so bad, that all edges are curling up. Returned mine & wish a better one exists.

Fits the A55 perfectly, and is a well-made case with no defects or imperfections. Buttons are still easy to press when the case is on and it also protects the WM port. A good value and arrived with extras like screen protectors and a lanyard for the Walkman's loop hole.

This is a fantastic buy. I did a spontaneous purchase of the Sony NW-A55. The Walkman has a compact size so I did not want to add much bulk. This case is perfect to protect against small drops and scratches. I love that it has a cover for the large Sony charging port. The other included accessories are of good quality which surprised me, all at this price.

Great fit, just charger port cover looks like will eventually fall due to opening / closure for music sync and/or charging. Will see. Cheers.

The case itself fits perfectly, but the clear version looks a bit yellow-ish. The straps are basic but I can see them being useful for certain scenarios. However the screen protectors are super cheap and they don't come with anything to help install them or clean the screen beforehand. I ended up having to buy another screen protector after failing to install those cheap ones.
