Certainly not the quality I would expect from Kawasaki
My daughter (5) needed a new bike, and we wanted to get away from princess pinks and purples. These colors are similar to Disney Princess Little Mermaid, so we knew she would go for it. Both my husband and I ride sport motorcycles, and are familiar with the Kawasaki name and its products so we thought it would be sturdy and of better quality then most. While we like the front brake feature, the back brake pads do not align correctly and we can not get them to fully work. The bag in the front is cheap plastic (though we did like the back pack feature of it... but if it's going to end up ripping, what's the point?) we ended up swapping it out with a bag from another bike. What I found really disappointing is we left it in the rain ONCE, and now all exposed parts are rusted. She still rides it and it serves it's purpose, but after one year I'm already looking for a replacement. Sorry, I don't like giving negative reviews especially since I put so much research into my purchases.

A girls dreams come true!
This is a very nice bike. Great quality and easily assembled. I was able to assemble it in about 40 minutes which I thought was good for someone who never did this before. My grandaughter was so happy when she saw this bike in her favorite color blue!BH, Natick, MA

sturdy bike
Neat bike, took me 30 to 40 minutes to self set up. It is durable and well constructed. It arrived early so my daughter saw her surprise before I got home.

Poor workmanship
We bought this for my daughter for Christmas. The selling points were the lack of all the girly-girl cliche crap you see on most girl's bikes, and the fact it has a hand-brake, which she's already used to from her original push bike. We were out of town until just before Christmas, and this was a night-before assembly job. Thank all my lucky stars for friends who are serious cyclers and who know bikes, because this would have been a ruined Christmas morning. Both wheels were completely out of true and wobbled horribly, the chain-guard (cheap plastic) was uneven and being raked by the chain (from the factory, not part of the home install), and the brake mechanism is less than desirable. The worst is the wheels. We got them functional, but I won't feel good about them until we can get them trued up with a spoke tool. Until then, no longer rides. Don't buy this thing unless you know how to make it work at a fundamental level.

Great bike, definitely built to last!
Just like the 12-inch version we bought for our daughter a year or two ago, this Kawasaki girl's 16-inch bike is well worth the money. We are completely satisfied with our purchase. Unlike the big-box store selection (often in over-the-top girly/frilly colors and designs), this bike is quite sturdy, not too cutesy, and includes additional features that other bikes do not. Some of the best selling points include a chainguard that completely covers the chain. It includes a handbrake in addition to the coaster brake. The seat is comfortably padded. And, it comes with a backpack (which can be attached to the front) and a matching water bottle. We only wish that it had a front tire mud-guard. Amazon's price and shipping-time couldn't be beat.

Nice bike, nice buy, only few minor hitches...
I bought this bike for my daughter when she was about 2 yrs old and she rode it till she's almost 6yrs old now without any defects on the bike. Its a very good buy...infact my 1.5yr old son is getting ready to also ride on it. The only minor problems I noticed over time and with usage was that the trainer wheels bolts begin to get loose and allows the trainer wheels fall off at times- that made my little daughter fall down while riding on trainer wheels. I fixed it and it never repeated. Its a good buy in overall

Just Girly Enough
My little girl who was turning 6, had been tired of seeing the same old girly accessories on everything...she decided that she wanted more of a COOL bike for her birthday instead of a GIRLY bike. My problem was finding one that would suit her...She finally said that she wanted a BOYS bike because they were cooler...I wasn't too thrilled about the idea of buying a boys bike for her, but when I saw this one, and showed it to her, we were both excited about it...She loves it...She feels like a COOL girl riding it....
