Remodel 2020
I learned so much from reading the reviews, so I’d like to add my experience from the recent bathroom remodel. From what I have learned is anything behind the wall is important b/c failing of the part will cost you lots of money, time, and headache. Therefore, the valve is very important! There’re many whole sets here that include the Diverter Rough, shower head, arm, handheld, etc for less $300 but there’re comments about leaking of the valve and diverter so I decided to build my own set!I chose MultiChoice® Universal Integrated Shower Diverter Rough Universal Inlets / Outlets - MODEL#: R22000 I found it operating smoothly. Only time will tell whether it will leak or not but I like its chance over the cheaper set! There’re different trims can go with this Diverter Rough but I chose Trinsic 17 Series Pressure Balanced Valve Trim with Integrated Volume Control and 6 Function Diverter for Three Shower Applications Model:T27959-BLAlthough I only have two shower applications the handheld shower is on the right of the valve and I like to have the dial point at the handheld shower. In my opinion, the shower arm, the showerhead, the handheld shower can be any brands b/c they are on the exterior and can be easily replaced. If they will leak in every two years the cost of replacement is still less than what local restore quoted me forFor the Showerhead, I chose the KES Rain Shower Head 8-Inch with Swivel Ball Joint Rainfall High Flow Shower System Contemporary Style SUS304 Stainless Steel Black, J203S8-BK. It works great! Water flows softly not splashingFor the handheld shower, I chose the KES Slide Bar with Handheld Shower Head Hand Shower Hose Holder Adjustable 5-Function Massaging Sprayer Matte Black, F204DG-BK+KP501B-BK. It has a different adjustment on hight and rotation, the handheld shower is high quality but the spiral hose is plastic but it doesn’t bother me it makes sense to me b/c I do not think it like some heavy hit the tileFor the shower arm, I originally order the straight arm but the plumber installed standard high but I’d like to accommodate tall person so I go with the s -shape, I chose HANEBATH Brass S Shape Shower Arm and Flange, Matte Black, also Chrome or Brushed Nickel or Oil Rubbed Bronze for Choose and it works just fine! For the connector from the wall to handheld you need shower elbow, I chose 1/2. NPT Round Wall Union in Matte Black b/c the designThe total I spent is about $560 compared to about $2000s, although I could have chosen the cheaper whole set (around $300) the choices I made is minimizing the risk of leaking behind the wall.I hope this will help those who are researching :) good luck to you all!!

It's Fine - For the Price It's Great
This is great for the price. Does the job and matches the rest of my oil-rubbed bronze purchases. Slightly wobbly when adjusting shower direction, but what do you expect based on the length and height? This is the fault of shower pipes and how they are mounted. For the people complaining, the one guy put pipe dope on the threads instead of teflon tape, and then complained it was hard to take apart. Really?? Of course. This same person also didn't have a 12mm wrench and felt the need to complain about that too.Use teflon tape. Tighten and loosen with the right tools near the connection point of possible, not far out from the wall with the curved extension.

Great, especially for tall people
I'm 6'4" and we recently moved into a house built in 1980. This "rain" shower head was installed on a short pipe so the head was tilted quite a bit outward. I also had to duck down to get into the water flow. This extended arm made all the difference. To loosen or tighten these pipes correctly and without marring the finish use one of the rubber strap pipe wrenches, worked perfectly.

Nice Height
Nice getting my rainfall shower head high above my head from standard shower height being I am 6’4”.

Great results when installed right...
Needed a shower extension that provided extra height. There are many shower arm options that are supposed to provide additional height, but there is a lot more to it than just height. This arm provided the height as well as the ability to position the head so that it is pointing almost directly down. Many other shower arms offer the extension, but the angle you are left with is pointing towards the back of the shower. If you only have a stall shower this can be a problem. This arm also did not leak after I installed it. There were a lot of reviews from people that said their arm broke while installing. This might have been caused by improper installation technique. You cannot simply wrap tape around the wall threads and use the arm itself to tighten, it will snap off. There is a notch on the wall end of the threads specifically for a wrench. You can use a crescent wrench or a open end wrench to tighten. this is the only way this should be installed. Other people had problems that the angle of the arm was not straight up and down when tight. The remedy for this is to wrap teflon tape around the threads (on both ends) at least 5 or 6 times. This will ensure that you have enough room (or twist) to align the arm and have it be tight when straight up and down (again using the wrench on the notch provided). It it doesn't not line up, loosen the arm (with a wrench) clean off the old tape and add more tape again. Also, be careful when threading the wall end into the fitting in the wall. Go slow and make sure you are not cross threading. If you feel any hard resistance, then back off and start over. Once you have started the threads by hand, then just use the wrench to tighten.Overall this product worked perfect for me. It proved height, full water pressure to the head, and a very nice uniform brushed finish. The trim also has a nice rubber O ring to seal it to the pipe.

Looks beautiful
Looks great, fit our shower head perfectly and raised it so that my tall husband doesn’t have to duck under the shower anymore. Love it.

Better than Modona model
Perfect and exactly what I needed. I'm sure many of us who have standard shower heads and want to upgrade to rainfall style shower heads can easily do this without redoing the piping behind the walls and ceiling. Positions the rainfall shower head away from the way further up as it would have to be. The wall cap that comes with it is also great with the rubber seal the hugs the pipe, preventing the cap from moving away or allowing water to come between. This unit is much better quality than the Modona model seen on amazon. I've had both and chose this one.

Highly recommend!
Love this product! Installed super easy and quick with the SR SUN RISE Luxury 12" Large Square Stainless Steel Rainfall Shower Head, High Pressure, ultra thin water saving, chrome finish 2.5 Gpm. Screwed into the wall - no problem, and no problem with cross threading as the thread size was the same as our existing one.

Lifts a to low shower head
It does exactly what I needed it for - putting the shower head higher and pointing it downward. Now a person taller the 6' can stand under the shower.I had it installed by a plumber. He also thought it was a excellent product
