Apollo Studio® PH-Studio-T1 Photography Photo Studio Lighting Kit

This product is fantastically clever at five things, however lacks on some basics I expected. Here is the breakdown:The Good:1. Photo Studio is extremely easy to set up. You can go from packed to fully functional in less than 2 minutes.2. Material of translucent sides seems to be durable and produces nice and even light.3. The box is a perfect size--Perfect for all types of foods, small to medium size objects, etc.4. Easily transportable and offers fantastic flexibility for the on-the-road photographer or amateur looking to have some fun.5. Multiple backdrops colors offers a greater range and versatility of the objects you place inside.The Bad:1. The lights provided are TERRIBLE. One broke after 5 min. of use and the other I'm throwing away. It's basically a flashlight. Go to your nearest hardware or lighting store and buy shop lights or any other high wattage direct light source.2. The backdrops, though great in color, don't cover the entire inside of the box (leaves some gaps) They also are made of felt material one side and a plastic backing. You could do much better with material you buy yourself. (had to steam to get rid of the creased folds)

I purchased this to I can take pictures of my products that I sell and review. It is a compact "box" that opens up to give you a nice clean area to photograph your items. I'm not very "mechanical" so it took me a few minutes to figure out how to set up the box, but once I did, I saw how easy it was. It is nice because it folds down and stores in the container that comes with it. I do wish the tripod was a little taller - only stands up about 12 inches.

Instructions would have been nice, thank goodness for YouTube. The box is decent and the walls do a nice job of diffusing light. The lights that come with it are very weak and not up to the task. The fabric samples are nice but it is very hard to get the folds out of them. I wound up grabbing some fabric from Joann to make the backers instead. The tripod was a nice touch. My rating is more for the box than the components.

Easy to set up once you figure out howto propely unfold it. (the black part goes to the back)no bottom, the white panels becomes the top and sides, whileyou choose the color you want for the background, that alsocovers the bottom area.Anyway, it seems sturdy enough, does not feel cheaply made.But the light that comes with it really does get HOT, so be careful.The camera stand is flimsy and would not hold a full size DSLR like canon 6d or sony A77mkII.It seems to be made for standard light weight point and shoot camera.Anyway, I have my own small tripod for my DSLRS, so I used that instead.Overall, for the price I paid, it is a decent tabletop studio and light kit.

This kit is perfect for those in need of simple pack-and-go studio system! This is regardless of whether you're pro or an amateur. The studio kit itself is relatively compact and lightweight in "mobile" mode, but still feels sturdy and reliable that one would seek this studio kit for their ambitious and adventurous deeds once unpackaged.Overall, the sturdiness is very respectable for something in this price bracket. I expected a lot less to start, and so was delightfully surprised at the confidence-inspiring feel and quality of the tent materials. The colored throws are pretty standard, so no remarks there.Don't forget the mini light stands. GREAT to have around.Need not say anything further - BUY TODAY!

This unit works great for my needs (photographing glass and images). It folds up in its own carrying case, which is nice if you need to transport it often. The lights do get very hot and smell like they're burning, but they work fine. I would recommend not leaving them unattended, and handle them carefully when turning off.

Nice grouping of related items for "studio photography" of products, still lifes, and any other combination of objects to be photographed. A nice, reflective white lighting tent, Two matching table-top lights, a very versatile non-tripod camera support, and four backdrops in useful colors. All neatly packaged into a nice, sturdy, protective carrying & storage case.All for a very reasonable price!Set up your product or object; light it so it shows to advantage: set a custom white balance; frame it in the viewfinder; bracket for perfect exposure. BAM! You've got a professional looking photo!

The kit was fine but the lights were not white. They gave the product pictures a pink color. I will need to change the blubs to make this kit work as it is needed to work. The backgrounds, the side panels and the carry case work just fine.
