Magical Addition to Witches of Cleopatra Hill Series
This was a wonderful addition to the Witches of Cleopatra Hill series, and I highly recommend checking this installment out if you were a fan of the first three in the series. This novel follows Lucas Wilcox and Margot Emory (an elder for the McAllister witch clan). The one thing that I appreciated with this novel was that Ms. Pope gave us an insight into periphery characters that fans have come to love so much. I think we can all admit that we have crushes on Lucas. After all, he's hilarious and amazing (perfect combo right there!), what's not to crush on! The pacing in this novel is perfect, and flows similar to the other 3 books. While there is not much action in this one, there are more than enough steamy moments between Margot and Lucas. They are absolutely perfect for each other, and the sexual tension between them had me shouting, GET TOGETHER ALREADY!!! This is a love story through and through, and I loved watching Margot's transformation over the course of the story.Sympathetic Magic is magically delightful (see what I did there), and extremely well written. This will not disappoint fans of the series, and is definitely worth the read. It's relatively short compared to the others in the series, and while you will fly through the pages, you will never want the story to end! I can't wait to read more from Ms. Pope as she has become one of my favorite authors.Happy reading :)

a connection
Even though they are from different clans that have been enemies in the past,I like the banter between Lucas and Margot as they try to make sense oftheir connection to each other (well, Lucas is all for it and Margot is tryingto avoid him, not that it's working) and their situation afterward. It isenjoyable to read. Must read and check out the rest of the series. Adults 18+only for steamy scenes.

A middle-aged variant of witchy Romeo and Juliet
Book #4 of the Cleopatra Hill Witches is the love story of Lucas Wilcox and Margot Emory. It's the Irresistable Force ("Lucky Lucas") vs the Immovable Object (stubborn traditionalist Margot). I liked these two characters from Books #1-3 (which I had bought as a box set) so I purchased this book separately after reading a short preview.I enjoyed this story quite a lot, but I'm glad I didn't buy it as part of Set #2. There was a preview included of Bk #5, and I just didn't find it interesting at all. I think I'll stop at Lucas and Margot's story, and leave it at that.

Disappointing
A bit lackluster and much less than I expected based on the first 3 books of the series. The sex was more graphic, perhaps in an effort to conceal the lack of any real plot aside from the unrealistic and two dimensional love story. I expected so much more... and I know this author can provide it. I have already purchased all the books in this series based on the awesomeness of the first three books - I wish I hadn't. Disappointed!

Love always finds a way
Motor is an elder Among MacAlister's that's for life. Or was till Lucas Wilcox set eyes on her. Now that's a mater of opinion.

Margot and Lucas's story
I really enjoyed the book. I loved getting to know Margot and Lucas better also. Lucas falls for Margot as soon as he lays eyes on her in the art gallery one day. Margot wonders what it is about him..that makes her think about being in bed with him..kissing him. She tries to suppress and fight her feelings through out the book. But she ends up agreeing to stay a few days at lucas's house to see so he could prove that she wasn't as needed as elder as she thinks she is. It all goes up hill from there.

Excellent series..
I loved this series of books. I got the first one free that was included in a group of books of this genre. I read the first one then quickly purchased the second book in the series...Read all 5 books... the character's were woven through out each book even though they were not the main characters of each book. It gave the reader a sense of being a part of the history not only of the first main characters lives but then able to take a journey with other characters. Each book picked a character and wove a suspenseful enchanting story. Nicely done and a good read...

Good Read!
I Enjoyed reading this book. I thought this story was going to be like her previous story, but I found it very boring. I think her next book is going to be more exciting! Thanks 😀😀

Another one you can't put down
I promised my self I would never buy a series of books again, never wanting to get caught in that trap again. So when I downloaded a book of 20, I thought that was it, unbeknown to me they were 20 desperate books. Book 1 was the first book in this series, and OMG I just couldn't put it down, so much so I only read at night in bed, I didn't get hardly any sleep I read book 1 in one night, now on book 4 and its still the same romantic gripping stories. I can't wait fir book 5 but must keep to one book a night so I can get some sleep

A good book (with some sexual scenes)
A good story, telling the story of Lucas and Margot, two brilliant characters from the series. Well-written, funny and touching in places, and a good read. Would definitely recommend both this book and the series, though please note they are sexually explicit in places and so not appropriate for younger readers.

Bookworm
I loved the humour in this book as Connor tried to woo the reluctant witch. The story is a gentle romance which moves along at a steady pace.
