OK, given the price...
10-Inch Solid Stainless Steel Tailor's Scissors ShearThese large scissors are made in Pakistan and are 10" long, end to end. I ordered two pair to use for yard work.Pros:- large thumb and 4-finger loops are comfortable for my extra large (XX, size 12) hands, but still useable by my wife, with her small hands.- a fully exposed machine screw, lock washer, and nut, which hold the halves together; are removable, to aid in sharpening.- sufficiently sharp to easily cut paper or cloth.- the steel is very hard.- inexpensive.Cons:- Compared to more expensive scissors, the hardware holding the halves together is downright crude; e.g., the bolt threads extend well past the nut, which can catch on things.- one of my pairs came with a tiny nick in one of the blades, about ½" from the tip, preventing the scissors from fully closing. This defect would have been found and fixed with a decent quality control process. Rather than returning them, I used a flat sharpening stone to remove the nick - it took quite a lot of hand honing, which confirmed the steel's hardness.- the opening / closing action is only fair, in that you can feel the resistance of the two blades rubbing against each other.- compared to commercial quality scissors, such as the Gingher 220540-1004 Rounded Bent Trimmers, 10-Inch, Industrial Pack - this Pakistani product is, at best, OK. E.g., those Gingher scissors are a precision instrument, are superbly finished, are sharper, had zero machining defects, the screw/nut mechanism holding the halves together is excellent, they look expensive by comparison, and of course, cost a whole lot more.Other:- if the metal used in these scissors is indeed "stainless" as claimed, its characteristics match martensitic stainless steel (see below). I.e., the metal is magnetic, holding a magnet as firmly as does cast iron. This type of stainless can rust if stays wet for long, although not as much or as easily, as regular steel. It can also break if dropped, since the steel is brittle.Summary:For the price, these are OK for my yard work tasks. However, for more important uses such as sewing or arts/craft, consider spending more to get higher quality.......Types of stainless steel:The three main types of stainless steels are austenitic, ferritic, and martensitic.Austenitic. With austenite as their primary phase, these alloys contain chromium and nickel (sometimes manganese and nitrogen), structured around the Type 302 composition of iron, 18% chromium, and 8% nickel. Austenitic steels are not magnetic, not hardenable by heat treatment, are almost completely rust proof (depending on the chromium & nickle content). The most familiar stainless steel is 304 containing 18-20% chromium and 8-10% nickel.Ferritic. With ferrite as their main phase, these steels contain iron and chromium. Ferritic steel is somewhat magnetic, less ductile than austenitic steel, not hardenable by heat treatment, and rust resistant (or better, depending on the chromium percentage).Martensitic. With martensitic as their main phase, these are low carbon steels. They are magnetic, may be tempered and hardened, and only somewhat rust resistant. Martensite gives steel great hardness, but reduces its toughness and makes it brittle.

10" scissors from Pakistan.
The quality of stainless steel in the US must be a higher grade than in Pakistan. These scissors will rust if not dried and stored in a zip lock bag immediately.

Only good for paper, please read my review
I have been sewing for over 30 years and these by far are the worst shears I ever used. I bought these looking for a larger pair since I work with heavy fabrics and I didn't want to keep using my trusty gingher shears. I read the reviews and I took a chance because they were all positive. There are no positives to these shears, they are...1. Very heavy and awkward to hold.2. Dull as %@$#, will not cut through denim smoothly like my gingher's. Heck wouldn't even cut nicely with cotton3. Don't waste your money unless your looking for a good pair of scissors to cut paper with.Spend a little more and buy Gingher's, I've had my pair for over 30 years and just recently sharpened them.

Great shears
I am taking an Apparel Design class and needed to purchase a good pair of shears to cut fabric. I am extremely pleased with the quality of these shears, not to mention the great price. Might be a bit heavy for small hands.

Amazing.
These shears are amazing. You can tell the quality just by holding them. They're pretty heavy! Also, they have sliced every fabric like butter. If you have fabric that needs cutting, buy these.
