I bought several of these in different wattages. They seem to hold a steady temp so far, and the black metal cage surrounding it should protect it from anything short of a nuclear blast. My only issue is that they are bit of an eyesore. They’re big, encased in a black metal cage, and have an electric purple adjustment knob on the end. You can’t miss it, it looks kind of like something the military might have, and now it’s in your tank. However, you can attach plants to the outer metal cage to hide it.

Well. It heats! we have it set to 72°F, and it says at 79/80. I have kept a close eye on the temperature of the tank (75gal). Although its set to 72, it stays at 79/80 and doesn't fluctuate beyond or below that. I have not set it above to see if the heater will go hotter. We have done 1 water change of 25gal. and it heated the water back up in a few hours.

Heater worked very well, but lasted under a year. Generally a cheap heater wouldn’t have lasted this long. I took a chance when I ordered it and I wasn’t disappointed. If you needed an inexpensive back up I would recommend this for that only. Kept water temp where it was supposed to, it was accurate within 2 degrees.

This is a heater and that is what it does...HEAT. And it does a pretty good job at that. I had it in my 60gal tank for less than 24 hours and it stabilized the tank right where I wanted it. I was concerned it was not going to heat evenly since I only bought one heater for my tank but it is sufficiently heated throughout. Very low profile, the plastic guard on the outside is also a great design as it not only conceals the heater and makes it blend into he background a bit, but it also protects my fish, other air hoses or plastic bits in the tank from touching the heater and potentially melting or harming anything. Great price, easy set up, simply take out of box and plug in. That is it. THE ONLY THING that I do not like is the cord length. Very short cord so if you have a deep tank or you are putting it down along the bottom of a tank the cord will either need an extension cord or you will need to move your outlet/power cord closer to the heater which is less ideal. Why not make the cord just 2 feet longer?? Nonetheless, it does as advertised and looks good.

First I love how this heater looks in my black tank. The guard looks good. But I just can't get it dialed in. I have the 300w in a 55 gal and have it set to 67-68 and my water temp is lil over 80, and this heater is STILL kicking on? Been in my tank for 24 hrs so had time to adjust. I am afraid to go to bed with it plugged in cuz idk what it's gonna do. Every time I see the light on, I turn it down even more to stop tank from getting any warmer. So far it seems my heater is off at least by 12°! That's crazy. I hope it evens out soon and I'll give more stars. But as of now this thing is running so hot I don't trust it to go to bed..

Burned up in the first two months

It took a little adjusting to get the temp in the aquarium at the temp it needed to be. The temp control dial wasn't the same as what the two thermometers showed the water to be but it was easy to figure out which direction to turn it to in order to get the correct temp. It works really well and would purchase this same one if I ever need to.

This heater is not accurate. It does not last long after eight months will not buy again.

Compre este calentador de 300Lts, mi acuario es de 260 Lts. y en estas épocas de invierno no me da para mantener la temperatura a 27 grados es mas ni a 26 lo puede mantener y esta en su máxima potencia, tuve que comprar otro para llegar a la temperatura ideal, para mis peces.

Al tercer día después de la instalación dejó de funcionar. Ya no calienta

Se ve muy bien la calidad pero no cumple con el mínimo q es dejar la temperatura a 28 grados centígrados
