Okay my review is long but worth the read...this stuff works, vet confirmed
*SUPER LONG REVIEW AHEAD!* I can't say enough about this wonderful product, let alone the fantastic customer service that this company provides. First off, a history of my cats illness. My senior cat Fluffy was diagnosed with chronic IBD last year. His only major symptom was unexplained rapid weight loss, and an unusually high appetite. We ran a myriad of tests; blood, urine, stool sample, more blood, an EKG, blood pressure, ultrasound, intestinal biopsy, etc etc and finally the only logical conclusion was IBD.He was put on a very low dose antibiotic which I didn't love (long term use of antibiotics, while supposedly safe, still bothers me) but it seemed okay because said drug was supposedly mild and wouldn't kill off too much good bacteria. He did well on this for several months, gained some weight back, and generally seemed much better. After about 9 months when he was back to his pre-IBD weight and had been considered stable for several months, my vet said if I'd like I could begin to wean him off the drug and see how he did now that hopefully the IBD was under control on its own. Of course he was also getting a daily dose of Omega 3's to help with inflammation so we thought, maybe that will be enough now that he's in good shape. Well, unfortunately, it wasn't. Omega 3's are excellent for cats, don't get me wrong, and without them I am sure he would have been worse (side note, Nordic Naturals makes one of the best Omega 3 supplements for cats that IMO is excellent in combination with this Probiotic Supplement here) but it was not enough to sustain him and he needed some extra help.Fast forward 3 months off of his medicine, he started losing weight again, having less energy, grooming a bit less, and suddenly he began to smell. It sounds strange, but I could smell a difference in him. Especially from his ears and generally his face area. He had this sick, metallic sort of smell that was actually kind of scary and he had started drooling a bit of a yellowish tinge. He was also a bit gassy and had a tad bit of "eye crusty". I thought for sure he had some kind of terrible infection, though he had no fever and was not totally lethargic or anything, I was still terribly worried and scheduled an appointment with his vet right away. The earliest opening was for 3 days later and I took it, knowing that if he got worse between now and then I would just take him to the emergency center. It was that very night that my package came in from Amazon with this product in it, so I thought, hey, perfect timing, we will start this supplement tonight and see if it helps between now and the vet appointment, even though that was like reaching for straws and asking for an unlikely miracle, but we thought it couldn't hurt.3 days later, we took him to the vet. The smell was gone. His fur was soft and groomed. No more yellowish drool. A bit more energy. And while he had not gained anything, he had not lost anything in those 3 days either (and yes, it's possible for a cat to lose weight even just over a 3 day period, I've unfortunately seen it). The vet did a swab of his ears to check for an infection as I reported his ears had a bad smell, which was totally undetectable by the time the vet saw him (in fact, she questioned me repeatedly if I was SURE he had this smell, because she said that usually means infection and he had no signs of one) and no infection was found. Everything looked good. She said his ears were very clean and had no excess gunk at all (and I'd resisted cleaning them by request of the vet tech I spoke to to make the appointment because she said to leave them be until they could swab them). She kind of hinted that maybe I was just being paranoid about his ears and his smell because besides weight loss, he looked great...I assured her I was not, and then I showed her the bottle of Probiotics and told her what happened. She looked the bottle over and finally said she didn't know about the smell or any of the things I reported when I called to make the appointment but that looking at the product, she said it looks like a fantastic product, and if these are the results I am getting from it that she recommend he stay on it permanently. She did remark that she was fascinated by the fact that it didn't have any of the stuff in it that she would not recommend, like "animal digest", corn, wheat, soy, sugars, so on and so forth, that are often in other probiotic supplements, including most that vets carry. She'd never really seen one that was water based or so natural before. She said that she can't say for sure if the product was responsible for him no longer smelling or feeling down because she hadn't seen him when he was, but she said it certainly will not hurt him to use and that probiotics are excellent for cats any way, so to keep up with it. She said, at very worst, it would make him feel a bit better and help with digestion. She also wanted to remember the name of it to recommend for other clients. It's been 2 weeks since then and I am happy to report he has gained a few ounces. Not a ton but that's still very good considering this product isn't even intended to help cats gain weight from my understanding. No more smells. No more poor grooming habits. No more lethargy (though he doesn't quite act like a kitten, he's not moping at least) No more weird yellowish drool. No more crying at his food bowl and pacing around it in circles before he finished it, which he did a few times the week before we started this. No more gas. No more eye crusty. And a generally happier, healthier cat. He is still going in for an abdominal ultrasound next week to re check his intestines and look for thickness or growths (he may have a mass in his abdomen, unrelated to use of this product of course) but at the very least this product has given him some of his health back and for that I am ever so grateful.A few things, though.#1 This product will do jack for you if you aren't feeding your cat a good, high quality, WET food. Stay away from dry food. No miracle spray is going to help you if you are putting poison into your cats body to begin with, and that's precisely what dry food is. It's biologically inappropriate, harshly cooked, carb-laden, bacteria inviting, imitation meat cereal that cats should not be eating. Dry food is a leading cause of feline diabetes and is linked to several other health problems in cats, particularly IBD, urinary issues, and so on. My cat did eat dry food for years before he developed these issues and before I become aware of the correlation, and I wish we'd known earlier. Do some research, it's the truth. Some vets are still of the "old school" mentality that dry food is good and even helps clean the teeth...many studies have debunked this myth. So diet is #1.#2. This is not something you should just give a cat in lieu of medical care. In our case, we were seeing our vet semi regularly for his IBD. His vet was made aware of our use of this product. While generally I would say there is no harm in just trying this, the harm could be that you see such an improvement you think "Maybe I don't need to see the vet after all" and you miss something really important. Even though our cat got miraculously better on this product, we still consulted with a veterinarian to get tests and make sure it wasn't simply masking an underlying infection he had.#3. This was not used alone, it was used in conjunction with proper diet, and an Omega 3 supplement. Yes I am fairly certain the Omega 3's didn't do all this because he'd already been using it long term before this product, but I am sure the combination was a factor, my vet definitely thinks so. She definitely thought the two complemented each other nicely, so consider that this was part of a regimen, not just used alone. All in all, fantastic product I will continue to use as long as it's available, which I hope is always. And about their customer service, TOP NOTCH!Lia, the co-founder of PetJoy Naturals, contacted me directly after my purchase, and actually discussed my cats health issues with me in detail, and though I assume she is not a veterinarian (she could be? But did not address herself as one) she is knowledgeable about cats and digestive health and the tests and procedures and protocols involved in things like IBD, and I am confident that she understands these issues and thus stands by a product that truly helps them, and isn't just "snake oil".Conclusion: Provided that you are a responsible pet owner and educate yourself on your cats total health and seek regularly veterinary care, YES, I 110% recommend this product, absolutely.

Diarrhea still there but the smell is not as bad
I have used this every day for almost 4 weeks for my 16 year old cat with loose stools. I have not noticed a change in the diarrhea but I can say the smell is not as bad. I'm still hold out hope that this will work.

Yes, you should buy it.
We are lucky enough to work for four of the world's greatest cats. I'm sure everyone here would argue their cats are greater than ours - but our cats really are the greatest. And I'm not just saying that because they could possibly smother us in our sleep one night only to then chow down on our corpses for breakfast. Because all of us cat staff know cats would neeeever do that, right....? As if cat butt on your cell phone isn't bad enough. I digress...Our lovely furry friends were looking a bit dull. Two of our four have digestive disorders - IBD and IBS. This leads to all sorts of fun games of 'Find the Dollop on the Dark Wood Floor' and 'Oh S*#t!'. Slippers with rubber soles are mandatory indoor protective foot gear unless you're feeling rather brave. It's gross but we love the critters so we decided to do something about it. I only say that because I can imagine there are people who don't do anything about a poop problem like this. And that's just really disgusting. Seriously. Poor cats. Anyway, we changed our cats diet immediately to natural, organic, made in the USA only, grain-free food. Why we didn't do that sooner is just sheer stupidity. Those cheapo grocery store brands are nothing but toxins to cats bodies. We don't eat food like that, why torture your loving critters? And our vet HIGHLY recommended we start giving our more poopy cat probiotics.Like most people out there, we loathe giving our pets pills and we want the easiest way out whenever possible. I can't wait for the future when it's almost magical it's that easy to give your cat medicine. I imagine there are teams of scientists working on a solution to the cat pill issue at this very moment. And in the mean time, I found H2O PRO. OMG, a spray and it has a bunch of rave reviews so it seems to work. I'll never go back. I can't, it would just be stupid. This stuff is awesome. Our cats look amazing! Not that they didn't look amazing before, they are the world's greatest cats. Katie, the super pooper, had a dry, dull, flaky coat. She had stinky breath, I'll spare you the poop details. Imagine the worst. After a few months of using this product, the change is insane! Her fur is super soft, shiny, no flakes. Her poop issue is in check, it's a process. Her breath no longer stinks beyond the typical cat fish breath. Gabby is a Snowshoe, came to us as a little dull, flaky stray. She's stunning. Her coat is so beautiful, her eyes are brighter, her breath isn't gross. Fern is 16, she's gained weight, her coat has fluffed up, her skin isn't dry. Her eyes look great. Poor Emmett. Our only boy cannot use probiotics due to his digestive disorder. He's quite the handsome fellow regardless.

I purchased the probiotics supplement on the recommendation of my son after he experienced the horrible smell emanating from my female cat. Not only did her poop create an incredible stench but she also had nauseating gas. Some days, the smell wasn't too bad, but it was always noticeable. I'd tried a couple of probiotic products but they made the smell worse over time, so I decided to give this a try. The PetJoy product has helped decrease the smell and the incidence of gas with my female cat, and she's tolerated it well. However, the oldest of my male cats got a case of diarrhea a few days after I started using this. When I changed to spraying it only on the female's food, his diarrhea subsided. I do still add two sprays to the cats' big water bowl when I change the water every other day, which has had no ill effect.
