3.5 in Handheld Digital Lcd Tv

The media could not be loaded. It is early spring, and I wanted to be able to track severe weather from my workplace. This portable digital television works good considering the inexpensive price that I paid for it. I live in a small town which is 30 miles away from the local television stations and this unit receives the strongest signals that it can find. The picture is clear and sharp, and the sound is good. This unit must be setting still on a table top or it will not pick up the digital signal. You cannot expect to watch it while walking, or riding in a car. The digital t.v. comes with an electrical power cord, a cigarette lighter adapter so you can charge or use the unit while in a parked automobile, and it comes with ear phones for private viewing. It is a lot of "bang for your buck" in my humble opinion.There are places where it scans and finds channels, and there are places where it cannot pick up the digital signal.You have to try different places.I gave this unit 5 stars because I am able to watch the local weather while I am at work. It does exactly what I expected it to. I would recommend this product to a friend.****For best results read and follow the instructions!****

first 3 times i tried to set up the channels, it failed. but i finally found a position next to the window that got me 99 channels. i live on the outskirts of los angeles. i wonder if i got more, however, it only counted to 99. my problem is that the tv won't work reliably when off of the charger. i would have to hook it up to the charger to turn it on, then pull the charger off. but the last time i did it, the tv died and wouldn't work without the charger.i guess i am saying, it works, but it has too many faults. if one thing isn't wrong. something else will be.face it, tuning channels is about the antenna, not the unit. this one fared well. if it had the standard antenna connector, i could have done something about it. this one doesn't.i'm returning mine for defects due to not being able to use it without being plugged in.

I was skeptical on how much negative feedback this unit had and thought that it may just be people used to the old analog tv which was superior in signal quality than digital. There are some that rave about this unit while most do not. Upon turning on and scanning multiple times in several locations, I was able to get only 2 channels and they barely came in! Even went outside and pointed the antenna to the direction of the transmitters and no improvement. Have an RCA DHT235A which is also on Amazon and that one sitting at the SAME spot next to the Digital Prism picks up 17 channels. I was concerned when I powered the RCA one up as it uses the same OS system as the digital prism as the menu screens are the same but after it scanned, there is no doubt a difference in the receiver between these. Going to miss the built in battery on the digital prism but that will do me no good if I cannot pick up channels!

Crisp, clear picture and reception is great for the channels that I do receive - 24. I am able to get FOX, NBC, PBS, CW, HSN, QVC and other local channels. I just can't figure out how to get my local ABC & CBS channels after moving and searching in different areas of the house and moving the antenna. But other than that it is a keeper for what I wanted it for, when in my backyard and kitchen. I was able to connect my iHome portable speaker from my iPhone to the unit and it improved the sound quality.Be careful with the antenna, as it is very thin and can bend easily.

I read many rewiew before to buy this moble TV. Most of them were negative. But I will give this product five stars rate. Maybe I live in New York and the signals are very good. No matter I go anywhere of NY five boroughs, the TV dose the great job. I can receive over 60 channles. More over 19 dollare inludes the earphone, addapter, and car battery charge. I think your 19 dolares only can get these acceceries.

I thought for $20, I would give the tv a try. I did get it to pick up 2 of 8 available channels.The pic and sound are good, but the tuner is either very weak or flawed. I took it to Chicago on a trip and it picked up 10+ channels.I sold it to someone else and used what I made to buy the RCA DHT235 3.5 TV. This tv is a 5 star product that has a much better tuner. It picked up all 8 channels available where I live.

This is a nice little TV but does not have a very good tuner. The price cannot be beat and I'd imagine the tuner is why. I go to the Desert,Mtns,and Beach and if youv'e got line of site you'll pull in (In my case) several channels. Excellent picture quality. It really needs to have external antennae capabilty. I also have they're 7" and it has an above average tuner and external antennae capability.After writing my 1st review I used some of my "Technical Skills" and am able to pull in 17 channels in North San Diego which is no small feat.Using a "Home-made" external antennae capability. The EPG capability of this little TV is more informative and extensive than my Brand New $500 flat screen. I still would not recommend this item for the average person and "Portable" would not be the phrase I would use.

I actually ordered this for a friend but it was after another friend ordered one and I saw how good the picture was. I was also impressed by how many channels it picked up. It is a very nice TV Definitely worth the price
