Quick delivery, easy to use, good built quality. It will not work properly if there is lot of wifi interference.With this wifi repeater I was able to fly my Tello ~300 meters away, with decent video feed. It might go further but at 300m I was not able to spot it clearly, so clicked RTH. Connected it to Mi power-bank and kept the whole setup vertical on my car. Controller phone was 2m away from this repeater.Unlike what we seen in other reviews and youtube videos, it is quite easy to setup. Below are the steps:1. I had Mi App already installed in my phone for air purifier, which was setup with India location.2. Connected Tello with original app and changed wifi password from settings. Better to keep Tello near a table fan or AC during this setup, otherwise it may overheat and shutdown in between. Keep Tello "on" during this setup.3. Connected this repeater to power-bank, search on Mi App, it will be able to find this repeater.4. click on that, click next, and choose Tello's wifi and click connect.5. On next page, the setup will perform 3 steps, but the 4th step, connecting to Tello will fail. but this is ok.6. exit the seutp, it would have already setup everything!Now power off everything, go to the place you are going to fly, switch on Tello and connect repeater to power-bank. You will see solid blue light on repeater. Open Tello app (I use Tello FPV, which is much better) and connect to SSID which is in this format: <tello_ssid>_plus. Password will be same as the original password.

The device is very small - it looks like an extra large USB stick with a hinge. It requires a USB power supply, and doesn't come with one, so that will have to be bought separately.I already have some Xiaomi devices at home, so had the Mi Home app on my phone already. It took a little bit of fiddling and time to set up with the app - it wouldn't detect on the first few attempts at resetting it.Once the app find the device it took a very short time to set up. Sadly, there is no other way to set it up and very limited configuration options (you can set the SSID, and network to repeat, but no other network configuration options are there).It's got great range though, and manages to deliver reasonably strong signal at high speed through several floors in my house - something no other router/repeater has managed so far.They could've made it a little more standard by allowing configuration without the app, selecting the MAC address of the home network device, and options to blacklist or whitelist devices - options that are available on most other repeaters.

First of all, I bought this wifi extender to get extra range for my tello drone... And exactly what it does!I received the package on the evening, I set up everything, then the was dark already.. But through excitement, I started the tello drone, went 100m,200m,275+m....High wind caused the drone to rotate hard... Navigation position already failed in the dark... It dragged the drone to some far place!!! Still no connection is lost!!! But it crashed on something and fell down... Was very nervous as the drone cost about 10k..had a nightmare searching the full farm area around my house... Drone self shutdown!!After hours of search, found the drone about half a kilometer away... Until the crash of drone, MI WIFI extender was connected! So powerful!! This connection has about 400m range of course!!! Incredible product!I use this extender with type c otg so that I can plug it into my smart phone!Worthy product!!

I am using this since last one year and really happy to say that its working like expected. No problem till know. Very useful for wifi extention from one end to another.I have kept wifi in my master bedroom and was not getting signal till living room, So i have placed it at the centre of my house..Now wifi is available everywhere.I have 60mbps connection but this extender just supplies 25mbps, i dont know why but I am happy.

The setup procedure for this wifi extender using xiomi home app ends with an error, but you can ignore that error and consider the setup as completed. Just start the wifi you did setup for and once it's on, start the mi wifi extender, it should work as expected.I used it to get rid of frame drops in video of DJI Ryze Tello and also to extend its range... It works like a charm.

This product definitely works and very cost effective as well but setting it up is a big nightmare. You may have to login to modem settings and change the WPA version to WPA2. An Average customer will not be able to login to modem settings and do it.

Initially it was good. It boosted the wifi signal and it does it too. But, the stored setting of your wifi gets lost after few days only. You have to keep resetting it and setting it up and up again. This is annoying.

It's a Mi Wireless Extender that can be paired with your wireless broadband or optic fiber modem. Setup is fairly easy that will need you to download the Mi app on your mobile. It's got a small range and is good enough for a small home setup.

La mia casa si dispone su due piani, al piano superiore ho il router principale ed al piano inferiore il segnale è debolissimo e la connessione diventa quasi inutilizzabile così ho la necessità di un extender.Tantissima scelta su amazon, di qualsiasi marca a qualsiasi prezzo, ma leggendo le recensioni nessuno mi convinceva pienamente finché non mi imbatto in questo prodotto xiaomi.Partiamo dal prezzo veramente irrisorio che farebbe pensare ad un oggetto di bassa qualità, invece non è così!Il packaging è essenziale, ma bello ed elegante, un sacchetto di plastica richiudibile ed una custodia rigida fanno da contenitore al ripetitore che si presenta esteticamente come una grossa penna USB. Qualcuno si lamenta dell'assenza dell'alimentatore, ma potete utilizzare tranquillamente un qualsiasi alimentatore in dotazione con qualsiasi cellulare, non credo oggi ci sia qualcuno che non ne ha più di uno in casa: riutilizzo ;)Inoltre il vantaggio dell'alimentazione USB è dato anche dal fatto che potete ad esempio portarlo con voi in giro ed utilizzarlo con una semplice batteria ricaricabile (per estendere ad esempio una rete pubblica).Presenta un unico led che indica lo stato del router: giallo lampeggiante se non è configurato, azzurro fisso se tutto funziona correttamente.La configurazione richiede pochi passaggi, bisogna installare l'app Xiaomi Home sul proprio smartphone ed impostare come paese la Cina (solo il paese non la lingua). Poi dalla home si aggiunge il device selezionandolo dalla lunghissima lista Xiaomi (dovrebbe essere nella sezione sicurezza oppure si può cercare con il campo in alto). Una volta individuato il Mi WiFi Repeater 2 si procede. Apparirà un messaggio che dice di resettarlo, se è la prima volta che lo configurate cliccate sul segno di spunta ed andate avanti. Vi darà un messaggio in rosso circa l'impossibilità di connettersi al wi fi del cellulare (almeno su iOS), ignoratelo ed inserite i dati della rete Wifi che volete estendere facendo attenzione che sia raggiungibile.Una volta inseriti i dati corretti la procedura si completa in automatico, salvo errori, e apparirà come per magia una nuova rete con lo stesso SSID della principale ed in più il suffisso '_plus'.5 minuti ed il gioco è fatto, la luce diventerà azzurro fisso.Una volta connesso devo dire che sono rimasto stupito, non c'è incertezza, non ci sono disconessioni, la velocità non risente assolutamente del ponte, veramente tutto perfetto.Anche esteticamente è molto carino e poco ingombrante, lo si può mettere veramente ovunque ed è facilissimo anche portarselo in giro.Lo consiglio vivamente, vediamo solo la durata nel tempo, nel caso aggiornerò la recensione.

I feel as though I have been mis-sold this device. It is not at all what I was looking for. I wanted a portable wi-fi booster, but this is not that. This Mi Wifi Repeater seems to be designed to work with a router (for which you have access to the passwords) or possibly a network. It does not appear to be something you use out and about to boost a weak signal. It is true what other reviews say about the difficulties with set up. There are no proper instructions. Only get this device if you are using it with a router. There is an app for your phone, such as Android, but after downloading that, it asks you to sign up, and even after all, it merely searches for an unassigned router! Hopeless!

I was about to send this back. I followed some written guides online as to how to set this up to increase my range for my TELLO - and they just didn't work. I then tried a video guide on YOUTUBE and it worked perfectly. That's linking this, to a TELLO using an iPhone 7+. Really straightforward and took about 4 to 5 minutes. Look up 'how to setup Xiaomi Mi WiFi Repeater with iOS'. Now its essential kit.*** edit *** or it was - but I have found that if I don't use it for a period of time - say about 2 weeks - it can forget its settings and I have to start again. Can't be bothered.

Excellent! My other half set it up to run with the Alexa Firestick as we have the wifi in the back bedroom and it hits a weak spot in the living room .. it did take a couple of hours to download and set the software up, but well worth it. Not only does Alexa work perfectly but all the other mobile devices have a super boost with this wifi repeater in every room in the house. Really recommended and at a great price, plus the repeater itself is slender and fits neatly onto a plug socket/charger and looks good too.

I wanted something small that I can take away on holidays and things that will extend the range when using my phone as a hotspot.This works a treat. Trouble with a lot of hotels you either have to pay for the WiFi or it’s difficult to get a decent signal(or both)! So I use my hotspot where I can, but more often than not you I have to put the phone it the window to get a decent 4g signal. This in turn limits where I can use my laptop/iPad.With this repeater it gives me more range.I can’t really fault it at all.
