I purchased the croquet set for my granddaughter's 7th birthday and she loves it. The quality is very good and the size of the mallets is perfect for younger children. The box is great for storage of all of the pieces.

Well made. The 2-foot handle makes these mallets easy for preschoolers, and elementary-school-age children to use, and gain an introduction to the game of croquet.

This is a quality croquet set for children, which stores compactly in a fairly sturdy carrying case, though it does necessitate disassembly of the club heads from their shafts to do so.The clubs are about 2/3 scale and commensurately lighter in weight, so they are well suited for children. The game is as fun as croquet can be, so if you already like croquet, this set will delight you.

What a perfect way to start your kids on croquet. Adults can play with their kids as well. Product is well made and should endure many years of use. I highly recommend this item for purchase.

The quality of the mallets and balls (which are about 2 inches) are great, the loops/wickets are cheap and bend when you push them into the ground, or say a child trips on them because they are so insubstantial and hard to see. The cardboard box is fine.The size is my only complaint, I wish the dimensions of the balls and mallets had been listed. The set is too small for playing predictably on grass, even freshly cut.The kids like it not withstanding, but get frustrated faster than with a cheap full size set where a big mallet can easily hit a big ball which can roll easily over fresh cut grass.

I bought these as a beginner kids set for my elementary aged kids. I wanted a set that if they leave out in the rain or somehow otherwise ruin the clubs, I wouldn't be upset. This is good for that. The clubs are shorter than I expected though so it's really better for kids younger than mine. I would think the cutoff is probably around 10. My 11 year old (who is of average height) plays with them but it's not going to teach her any form as they are too short for her. My biggest grip are the brackets. They are plastic. It does make them easy for kids to spot and that was probably the idea. But... they are plastic! It was an okay purchase and will fit our needs for a year, maybe two. If they like the game, then I can invest in a traditional set.

Nice size set for children. The balls are weighted and sturdy though not wooden. Mallets are fine. The hoops, however, were plastic and hard to insert in the ground. Prefer the metal ones of yesteryear. My grandson liked it, however, and with some practice his game should improve.
