I'm not expecting precision perfect measurements of body fat, muscle, water, and bone, but I know for a fact that this scale at least gives you a good idea of where you are in those areas. It's all relative anyway - I enter my vital stats into a spreadsheet and use that sheet to look at trends over time, so for that purpose this scale works beautifully. I figure there's a margin of error a percent or two either way, but if you're on a weight loss or fitness program long term, the scale does a fantastic job at giving you the information you need.One small complaint: You can't use this scale on carpet, it has to be on a hard surface like a tile floor. This probably won't be an issue for most people, but oddly it was a problem for me so I had to find a suitable location to place the scale that would let it firmly press against a floor. I suspect that could be corrected by having "feet" attached to the scale, but this one looks to have an emphasis on being very thin / low profile, so it needs a hard surface to sit on.I don't count that as a strike against it, just a little thing to be aware of. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great scale *by J***E on July 24, 2013* In the last three years or so I have went through to other scales that were supposed to do the same as this one. One was glitchy and hard to use the other one cumbersome and broke. This scale gives me accurate weight and reads the same as the one at my gym. The first time I stepped on it, it DID read four pounds over but I think that is a calibration thing. I stepped off and then back on and my true weigh appeared. It turns on effortlessly and requires no hurdles to jump through to find your measurements. Other scales have to be turned on before you step on them or toe tapped to get started. This scale simply step on and get near instantaneous readout of your weight. Wait about 5 seconds longer and get the BIA readouts. I needed this scale and it came through for me. It helps me measure my body fat, muscle mass and bone density all of which helps me measure my weightlifting progress. On top of that the scale is very attractive from the blue digital display to the black tempered glass to the silver discs which look better than other scales that use metal strips or bars.This scale is by far better then the other two junk ones I bought which cost the same or more. It is easier to use, works faster, and is more modern in appearance. I can tell it is quality built and will last a long time. I just wish I bought it sooner. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Weight seems to be accurate but the BMI stuff could be incorrect *by D***D on January 8, 2014* The scale is pretty, functional, and works well after the first 2 months of using it daily by at least two people.You setup profiles so that it knows your height and gender for somewhat accurate BMI measurements. It would be more useful if these measurements were tracked over time automatically or had a bluetooth / wifi component to transmit them to a phone - but for a scale priced less than fifty, that's dreaming.The BMI info is probably accurate, but I don't have anything to compare it to. I know that the bone weight has to be incorrect as it says I have 9.8lb of bones as a 33 y/o male 6'0" and 180#.
