Happy so far
This product has some very good features and some concerns. I love the storage capabilities. This has a lot of pockets both obvious and hidden. The 3 mesh pockets that are located inside the middle compartment are really handy. I have only had this backpack for about a month and I like it pretty well. My concerns are the thickness of the material and the quality of the zippers. These are only concerns at this point and nothing has gone wrong so far. It is comfortable to carry even with all the stuff I jam into it. I use this every day for my work bag. It actually replaces an Code Alpha laptop bag that got a tear in it. I had 2 Code Alpha bags and I loved those. I knew I could get about 2 years use from those but decided to try a backpack this time around. It has plenty of molle capability, even in some unusual locations. So, after a month of use, I have decided to rate this a 4 star. I like it a lot so far but time will tell if it is actually worth the money. If I had a design suggestion it would be that I wish it had a more robust or stiff frame to it, but that is simply my opinion.

Bag falling apart
I have had this bag since late 2016. I have used it for all sorts of things, travelling, flying, when I'm on my motorcycle, rucking. However I have maintained it well and never put too much strain on the bag. Within the first month of receiving the bag two of the little straps attached to the zippers fell off. I didn't think much of it with the first one however after the second one fell off I believed it to be due to poor quality. Additionally the zippers have now started to come undone. I'll be jogging with my bag and the zippers will begin to come undone. I was very happy additionally with my bag however a true threeday pacl shouldn't pull apart or fall apart as it has with me. Rather disappointed as I was told these bags can last 5+ years. I will be contacting their customer service department to see if I can get a refund or at the very least, a replacement.

Solid but with a few quirks
TL:DR Solid bag for the priceComfortI used this bag daily for two school semesters and for a four day trip in the field. It made carrying textbooks comfortable and secure enough to run with for at least a mile. The straps are thick and breathable. Sternum straps fits well and expands. Waist straps are functional but could use padding and an easier way to tighten them.UtilityI've never used a water pack with it but it looks like it fits. The aluminum back stays are nice and keep the back from crumpling. Laptop compartment could use padding on the bottom to protect it from vertical impacts. The three Velcro compartment section was a pleasant surprise. I keep my first aid and survival gear in the pouches. The compression straps work to an extent. It only compresses the main compartment and not the one previously mentioned. If it did it would cut down on a lot of the bulkiness and sway when moving fast. I may just resew them myself. The utility pouch is standard. I would like to see some kind of rigidity for the bottom because long heavy objects (textbooks) make the bottom sag enough to touch my rear. Maybe it's because of my small stature (5'6) but it's kind of annoyingThe only issue I had with quality is one of the front MOLLE straps tore off when I grabbed the bag from the front. Not a huge issue.I would recommend this bag.

I like the extra options, but. . . . .
Have owned this bag for about one year, it is one tough bag! Strong zippers, good stitching, excellent build quality. When using the waist belt, you can really pack this puppy down with heavy stuff, and still wear it very comfortably. I bought my bag because my buddy had one and he absolutely abuses this bag. Seriously, SOC should use him in a product promotion commercial. The ABU pattern and color are a perfect match in the US Air Force ABU uniform. I use this as an EDC bag for work, and sometimes travel pack. I would recommend it to all. Very well constructed and designed (organization). I have removed the hook and loop (Velcro) strip and replaced it with a small laterally positioned pouch for a concealed knife placement, and have sewn on a insulated water bottle holder on the side (secondary to the absence of MOLLE webbing). Additionally, I have strapped a external pouch to the small outer pouch on the back of pack (where the MOLLE webbing is located). The stitching has held up very well, and couldn't be better. The only reason for a 4 star as opposed to the 5 star is the lack of organization pockets on the inside of the bag (as found in the non-elite bag). I figure if one is going to get the elite, it should have everything that non-elite bag has plus more, right?

Great bag with lots of individual storage places
I use this bag as an EDC and like the separate compartments to store my items. Laptop pouch works well and provides protection from damage...The zippers do sometimes catch on the rain flap protecting the zipper. I do wish it was made in America...***Update*** I am disappointed to say that the material is starting to tear on top where the strap handle attaches to the bag...I do not overly weigh down this bag and expect it should be able to carry normal items without tearing...I'm now thinking I should have went with the thicker cordura offered in the ACU color.

Deployment Tested
Overall I like this bag. I do find the zippers a little hard to operate with the overhang. It is also very front heavy if you open the main compartment zipper all the way. I can fit my laptop, 2 days of clothes (with shoes), a couple bottles of water, and some snacks in this. This bad has stood up to two deployments now and I have had zero issues.

Room to grow.
I use this for my small laptop I use at work, which may be at the shop or on a service truck. It has plenty of space for my personal phone, reading glasses and case, pens and paper, computer, chargers for computer and phone, spare battery, digital camera and spare batteries. It has more space than I need, but that is better than the alternative. The shoulder straps are nice and wide and it is comfortable to wear. It has lots of adjustments, so I think it could fit a variety of people. So far it seems to be well built and I have not found any signs of poor stitching. Only time will tell how well it holds up to everyday use.
