So many grammatical errors!
I absolutely love this author's books, but the really careless grammatical errors nearly drive me to distraction. I have e-mailed the author before with examples from some of the books and said, for the love of all that's holy, get a good proofreader! i had hoped with this new release he would have taken my advice, but no, the errors continue. Examples: "It was surround by thick woods." (should be "surrounded.") The dreaded improper appostrophe s: "it's vision, at this point..." (should be "its.") "to the edge of dock." (missing "the" dock.) "grave danger to say here." ("stay.") I even offered to proofread for him no charge - and I'd still buy the books! I do that for a friend author, i'm a beta reader/proofreader for him and we have a tradition that I get to buy the first book each time they come on sale. Errors like these have caused me many times to simply toss the author off my list, but again, i absolutely love the characters and the stories so i continue to give him my money. In exchange, I'd really love to be able to read a book without all these really stupid, careless mistakes.

A home run,
Another great read by Lowe. Spoiler alert. This one starts with Sean OBrien watching a woman paint a new name on the transom of a sailboat. The new name is Dragonfly. She and her husband sold everything they own, bought the boat and will be staring to sail around the world.Sean's friend Dave Collins know the two well. She is the daughter of a colleague he worked with in the CIA when they were both agents. Both are retired now. Dave has long been a friend to Sean. A Sean who was in Delta, the Unit when he was in the military. Once out he was a detective for the Miami-Dade police department. On the death of his wife he moved to the Ponce Marina with Max, his ten pound miniature Dachshund. The Marina is on the East coast of Florida. O'Brien is one very capable man.Neither he nor Dave know it yet but there is a man who wants Dave dead. This man will kill several of Dave's Agent friends and then set his sites on Dave. Unknown to this man, Sean O'Brien will be in the thick of things using his capabilities along with Dave.Dragonfly will play a big part of things though the two, Katie Scott and her husband Andy will be left to die on a desert island. So begins one fine read. This one has O'Brien, Dave, Katie, Andy, Nick Cronus who is Dave and Sean's Greek friend and one great cook, Sol Lefko who is Katie's father, the Tiki far which is their favorite watering hole, Wynona Osceola a Detective for the Seminole nation who will play a big part in the story, Captain Santos Kalivaris who has his ship Aphrodite used as a smuggling vessel, a vessel that has smuggled terrorists into the US, terrorists who will play a part in the story, Don Blackwell who will be the first victim or an assassin, Simon Rivers who will be the second, Robert Lewis who will be the third,a man named Aswad and Sean O'Brien and Dave Collins doing their best to figure it all out, save who they can, survive and stay alive.Five Stars and then some. Great read

Another fantastic adventure!
What can I say about Tom Lowe and his latest in the Sean O'Brien series? Wow! This book had me from the first page straight through to the last and wishing there were another 400 pages to read. This latest installment in the series packs a punch. It gives the reader excitement, intrigue and action packed moments that keep you wanting to turn to the next page to see what happens. Tom always gives you something to think about, a learning experience and just plain entertainment. He invests the time for his readers and fans so that they not only want to come back for more but feel like they haven't been jipped. I highly recommend this series to anyone who wants to escape to a place where the breeze blows, Maxine chases pelicans, Nick's BBQing seafood deliciousness floats through the air and where friendships flourish. The escape is a beautiful thing. Bon appetit and enjoy!

Hang onto your seat.
I have read everyone of Tom's books including the Sean O'Brien books. Lots of action and suspense. Sean and Wynonna.... I feel like I know all these guys like they were my friends. Looking out for each other is a big part of the story, it's what gets Sean in over his head sometimes. But makes for great reading. Fast moving and page turning. you really get a sense for all the characters. You won't be disappointed with this one and can't wait till the next. But check out his other books, you'll be amazed.

Fantastic book
This book kept you on the edge of your seat,so to speak. I have to say that I not only enjoyed this book, but the entire series. There was never a dull moment in any of the books. I loved the story lines, even though I hated some of the things that happened. I love the main characters, even Miss Max.I sincerely hope this is not the end of the series.Tom Lowe, Thank you for the fantastic stories.

Leaves Visuals like a Movie
The writing is so descriptive that the reader feels like he is right there. I feel like I have just seen the movie. The settings are real-world places. Also, the action is nonstop, so it is impossible to put the book down (unless I am called to dinner. ). The author’s knowledge is very broad, from weapons, to boats, to detective procedures, and more. Each of the Sean OBrien series books stands on its own, but I have read them all......wanting more.

One Tough Hombre
I have read all of the Sean O’Brien series and believe this last book is Tom Lowe’s best by far. It is fast paced and interesting. Once again, against a time clock, O’Brien saves the day. Lowe’s characters have become well rounded and believable. The action is well paced. The storyline is not only believable but pretty much out today’s headlines. I cannot wait for the next book.

Another captivating Sean O'Brien story
Tom Lowe does it again with an intriguing adventure with Sean, Dave, Nick and and some new friends. Sean must use his investigative skills to save his former CIA friend from assasination threats in a unique, international drama which keeps you on the edge of your seat. I must admit that I love these books so much, I hate to see them end. Will be waiting for the next book to pre-order.

Another Great Adventure With Sean O'Brien And Friends And I Highly Recommend It!
I am so glad after a much too long of a wait to have Sean and all his friends at the Ponce Marina back for another wild adventure. The task that Sean is handed in this story is considerably different than anything he has done in the previous books but, again as usual, it leads to some tense and suspenseful search and rescue missions and more than one magnificent, noisy and spectacular shoot-out and the usual Tom Lowe solid and satisfactory ending. Tom really knows how to end a story which is something a lot of current mystery writers haven’t yet learned. Lately I’ve been running into some really monstrous bad guys in my reading adventures and Aswad and Thurston rank well up with the worst of them. I am especially happy to have Wynona Osceola aboard in a major role as she is a rock solid character who, as I noted in my review of a previous book in which she starred, I hope will become a recurring character in this fine series. Nick Kronus is a hoot but the leading star of this book has to be Max! I think these stories tend to be a bit better when Sean spends more of his time at his cabin on the St John River and Joe Billie is involved but of course that couldn’t happen here with the nature of this plot. I was quite sorry to see deaths of some of the good guys but they had to happen to fit with the theme of channeling Agatha Christie’s “TenLittle Indians” I am not a huge Agatha Christie fan so I find it a rather strange coincidence that the themes of two of my recent reads, this book and Jeffrey Round’s “Endgame” were loosely based on a reworking of “Ten Little Indians”. There are a few proofreading errors such as in Chapter 1 where Sean is watching Katie paint the name on “Dragonfly” after returning from paying his “rent slip”. I don’t pay my “rent apartment” but rather I pay my “apartment rent”! And then the ebook formatting problems with the large blank spaces at the end of every chapter which force the next chapter number to appear in various places on a page following a large blank space. Chapter 36 is a huge example where the words “Chapter 36” appear on the bottom line of a blank page. These types of faults were common in the earlier eBooks but seemed to have been corrected until reappearing in this book. And then we have the epilogue where “Travis O’Brien” or is that “Sean McGee” sails off into the Caribbean with the rescued maiden and Tom Lowe is back to channeling John D MacDonald instead of Agatha Christie! I just liked this book a whole lot!

Astounding
I have every one of Tom Lowe’s books - I think Dragonfly is the best so far in the series - Tom is a genius in his writing - he brings the characters to life and makes the reader feel like they are part of the story - I can’t wait for the next book
