A fun and sassy no-nonsense invitation to the practice of astrology with easy-to-understand tools for self-development and conscious living Astrology books are typically either overly simplistic sun-sign books or overly complicated chart calculations filled with astro jargon. Astrology for Real Life goes beyond simple sun-sign interpretation and at the same time cuts through the complications of horoscope analysis to make understanding your chart in depth, simple and easy. The goal is to make astrology accessible to total newbies and provide a working reference guide for intermediates. The book is presented in workbook format exploring each part of chart interpretationโsigns, planets, houses, aspectsโwith exercises following each chapter and fill-in-the-blank lessons that take the reader through all the just-learned steps. The tone is warm, fun, and personal, and the exercises give the reader experiential hands-on practice. The end result: once you learn the basics in Astrology for Real Life , you can easily navigate the cosmos by making them work for you. Itโs kind of like a roadmap where we begin by understanding the terrain and the tools available. From there, the planets will guide you in making brave, excellent choices in love, work, and life. Itโs profound, fun, and practical. Youโll learn how to interpret your chart with confidence and use astrology in a practical, proactive way, with no astro excuses (blaming the stars for your issues). Review: Easy breezy, lemon squeezy! - I love this book! Theresa Reed makes understanding yours (and others astrology charts) in a way that is simple and easy to understand. Ms. Reed may be a tarot reader, but she clearly knows her astrological stuff too! Ms. Reed will forever be my mentor, even if our paths will never cross paths. I enjoy the majority of her books. Astrology for Real Life is a great workbook and will continue to be a companion of mine, as I venture into reading other people's charts and learning more about myself (as an astrologer and person), and learning about my community of Flint, Genesee County, Michigan. Review: Easy to learn - Grab your favorite notebook and easily learn to read a birthchart. The information is not overwhelming. Theresa breaks down everything in tiny bites so it's easy for anyone to learn. I wish all workbooks were this easy.

The Astrology Book I Wished For Years Ago!
Astrology for Real Life - A No B.S. Guide for the Astro-Curious is the Astrology book I wished for years ago! Also a perfect gift to start someone on a life-long love and understanding of Astrology which might have seemed daunting in the past. Theresa includes nuances and tips which I havenโt come across before. I like how Theresa presents & lays out the workbook; itโs practical, fun & interactive! After the chapters you have your โastrocise" and journaling so you can work with your own chart to reinforce what was covered. As a Numerologist I like the way Theresa presents the โhigh vibeโ and โlow vibeโ with the signs, houses and planets and how they play with each other. As she mentions โYou can choose to manifest the positive or negatives in your chart, (I donโt believe in โbadโ charts; I believe in tendencies but we still have the free will to choose how we want to show up in the world.โ You will gain a greater understanding of the energy of the planets, houses and signs relating to us personally and collectively starting from our Natal chart and as they move through the heavens, so you can see how their energy is effecting you now and in the future. Yes, Theresa shows you how to work your way around that tricky Ephemeris โlike a Bawseโ! Youโre going to love this book; discovering more about Astrology to help you in current & future planning, living intentionally and having some tricks up your sleeve for those planetary events! A Must-Read for both new and experienced astrologers
I bought this book out of guilt. I follow the author on Facebook and, after agreeing that we should all support each other, decided to put my money where my mouth is! And I'm so glad I did. I've been studying astrology in one way or another since the I was a kid in the mid-70s. I am no newbie. I can do a really decent read of a chart, or so I thought. I'm about half-way through the second section (fundamentals) of this book, and I've already quantum-leaped forward in my understanding about charts, trends, and how to get a read. Things I've never noticed are now jumping out at me, and I'm certain it will only get better as I progress. I have a lot of charts I've done on friends and family on hand to practice, and the author's techniques work across the lot of them. I would highly recommend this book if you want to jump in and start reading charts for yourself and others. You will not be sorry to spend the money.

Great value
I am not that keen on astrology but I enjoyed this reading very much. The book is well structured, informative and practical, and pleasant to read. The right balance for a demanding beginner. It is a fair reference too, though not as comprehensive as other beginners books so will not be quite enough on its own.

Fantastic handbook for newbie astrologers and great reference guide for all astrologers!
This is a must read for those curious and newbies to astrology. Theresa Reed writes in a clear, informative, succinct and often humorous way. I now have a much better understanding of astrology and feel that I can confidently interpret charts as long as I have this book nearby to refer to. I highly recommend it!

Beginners and experts alike will LOVE Astrology for Real Life
I am new to astrology and became curious after watching The Tarot Lady (Theresa Reed, the author) on her Instagram. She talked about transits, the moon being in certain signs, having certain signs in "houses." It was all a bit confusing, but it was enough to get me interested. When she said she was releasing a book on Astrology, I KNEW I had to have it. I have purchased books on Astrology before, but they lacked character and were dry. If you want to feel like someone is there guiding you through Astrology in a casual, down-to-earth format, this is THE astrology book for you. I love Theresa, and she is a wonderful teacher, and I love this book. I have learned so much about astrology, and I even ordered my birth certificate so I could confirm my actual birth time (turns out, mom was right...but still!). I highly recommend this book AND I highly recommend the other books that Theresa has written (Tarot for Troubled Times and the Tarot Coloring Book) and her instagram, @thetarotlady. She does live streams on Instagram in the morning for astrology forecasts. I love it! Tangents, transits, and tarot...or Tarot, transits, and tangents? I don't remember, but it's awesome!

Making astrology accessible
Finally, an astrology book I can get my non-mathematical head around! I've been using some basic astrological associations in my Tarot work, but I've always been curious about the rest of the story. Aspects and houses and all that just seemed like too many layers to get my head around, but Theresa Reed makes it much easier to follow. Her strengths are to provide practical explanations, starting with basics and then moving into more detailed areas of astrology, and to make the reader practice analyzing the concepts she's just explained. This is Theresa's super power: Exercises clearly and engagingly offered to get the reader to put this information into their own head for future use. Practice make useful, and as always, Theresa makes everything useful. Talk about added value on every page. This is it for me.

If I Could Give This Book 100 Stars..
If I Could Give This Book 100 Stars...I most certainly would. Why? Because it's the book that is finally enabling me to wrap my head around how all this stuff works. It is an absolute gem. Easy and fun to read. A Beautifully written masterpiece presenting often difficult to digest concepts in well structured bite size and easily digestible format. I have a few other astrology books ranging from basic to advanced-yet I could never quite grasp the structure and picture of astrology. This book has not only bridged that gap but given me exactly what I always needed to actually ENJOY astrology. Thank you soooooo much Theresa Reed.

A perfect book for the beginner to intermediate astrolger
I have listened to Theresa Reed's podcast (Astrology Bytes) and had to buy the book to learn more. Out of all of the astrology books I have read, this has become my favourite and one that I return to often. I would recommend this to anyone who has an interest in self-discovery through astrology. It is written in a very "pedestrian" way, meaning it is very easy to follow along and understand the tone and humour of Theresa. She offers relatable analogies as a way to simplify seemingly hard-to-understand astrology lingo and concepts.
