Fast delivery and healthy plants
As others have noted, these are very fine and good sized plants, (with good looking deep green leaves), at an excellent price. I have looked at other sources and this is probably the best one for yellow Clivias at an affordable price. You may have to wait a while for one to bloom, but it is probably still a shorter time than ones from other sources. This is an excellent buy. Here is a more detailed review.I ordered 5 Clivias. They came May 7, five days from the order date of May 2, 2012. They all have healthy deep green leaves. 4 have healthy or adequate root systems. 1 has a small root system. Overall, they are nice plants. They came in a cardboard box, with the the light-weight foam peanuts for protection. Plants are in a soil mix contained in 4" green round plastic containers. One has 7 leaves. One has 9 leaves. Two have 10 leaves. One has 12 leaves. The leaves are of medium width, so these are, relatively speaking, young plants which may take a while to bloom. The one with 12 leaves looks like it may reach flowering maturity in one to three years. The others may possibly reach blooming maturity in two to five years. (I will try to update later with actual blooming times.)~~~Here are some thoughts on Clivias.Separately, for many years now, I have had a another Clivia, specifically an orange Clivia miniata. It has 14 rather broad leaves and it bloomed April of 2012. So it might take 14 broad leaves for a Clivia to reach flowering maturity. In addition, I read somewhere that it takes about 13 leaves for a Clivia to flower. So, you may want to keep your younger Clivia growing year round to encourage leaf production so that the plant may produce the required number of leaves to flower. When Clivias are young, the leaves are narrow and as the plant matures, the leaves get longer and more broad across the width. A plant with 14 narrow leaves is a younger plant, while a plant with 14 broad leaves is a more mature plant, capable of flowering.Clivias are also like individuals. Some grow fast and others grow slow. About two years ago, I bought a few small Clivias from a second different place. One is still small, while another one grew quite large. They have the usual pretty green leaves and no flowers. Separately, I also bought two larger Clivias from a third place, also probably about 2 years ago, and they also have green leaves and no flowers. In addition, I have a large and mature yellow (to my eyes, it is a yellow, and the flower appears to mature to a golden or warm yellow) Clivia called 'Sunrise Sunset' which I purchased in 1998 probably from a fourth different place and that has flowered probably twice, probably not as often as it should have because I did not condition it properly to bloom.New types are constantly being developed, including those in Belgium, with the orange Clivia being a smaller houseplant which mature earlier and thus, flower faster. Australia, Japan and notably, South Africa, are working on an incredible number of different flowering colors, including peach or pastel variations, pink, red, green, and creamy white colors, as well as yellow. In the West, the focus is on flowers, while in the East, specifically China, the focus is on the leaves, including leaf variegation, leaf texture and leaf width and length.~~~Here are some flowering & other tips for people in the North. This is what I do to get flowers on mature plants. Around April, I put it in the unheated enclosed porch where night temperatures are above 35 degrees. I give it partial light. In the North, (Rhode Island which is just south of Massachusetts), where I live, you could probably give it a little more light than if you were living in the South.Others suggest withholding/limiting water during the mid and late Winter months to encourage Spring time blooms.[If anyone has tips on how to get their Clivias to flower, please feel free to share the information in the comment section.]Watering tipTo prevent root rot, make sure the pot does not sit in water. After watering, drain or empty the saucer.Growing tipI have read that some advise that you may choose to leave your plant pot bound. That applies to mature plants which already have flowered and continues to flower. However, if you have a young plant, it's probably best to do whatever you can to encourage leaf production, including moving it to a larger pot when appropriate and giving it more light. As written earlier, you want about 13 good sized leaves for your plant to flower.

Pathethic
Very disappointing. The plant suppled was a seedling that was over-potted in a 4-inch pot. A large thimble would have sufficed. The plant arrived bone dry, not secured in the potting medium, and the potting medium was mostly spilled into enclosing plastic bag. The plant is so small that it might bloom in 4-5 years with decent care. The product & supplier deserve zero stars, but Amazon forces me to over-rate it by giving it at least one star. There are many on-iine sources of quality Clivia plants that are good size and reasonably priced. Do yourself a big favor and avoid this offering from Amazon.

Healthy plant, fast delivery, reasonable price
The clivia plant I received has 6 leaves and looks healthy except one leaf which is yellowish in the top center half of the leaf. I hope I can culture this back to green. The root system seems healthy and is of reasonable size. I am surprised I am getting a fairly sizeable plant at this price. The delivery is fast. I placed my order on Monday. The item was shipped the next day. I received it on Thursday.

Tiny but healthy
A lot smaller than expected. Only two leaves. But it is off to a good start. Already one new leaf

Plant arrived in perfect shape and is doing well
This plant arrived in perfect shape. When it arrived, it had about 4 leaves on it. This is an excellent price as hybrid Clivia can be extremely expensive.I kept mine in the house on a shady windowsill for a couple of months and now it has about 6 leaves. For a couple of days, I left it outdoors in mild weather to get used to more temperature variability. Then, I planted it in my Southern California garden, where Clivia do well. No blooms yet, of course. Clivia take 2-5 YEARS before they bloom! But the plants themselves are handsome and do well in deep shade, so I'm happily carrying for mine while it works up the energy to bloom. Once it blooms, I hope to plant the seeds and see what I get. I've raised three hybrid Clivias from seed, and it's fairly easy.

The absolute saddest plant I’ve ever paid for
I’m going to start by saying I’ll try to save this poor plant but it might be too late. As I was removing the packing peanuts form the box a spider crawled out and that should have been an omen for me. When I got to the plant itself I saw that it was covered in mealybugs as can be seen in the photos. I can’t even replant it right away because it needs to be quarantined away from my other plants to avoid infecting them with the mealy bugs. This has the be the saddest plant I’ve ever paid money for. I hope I can rehabilitate it.

Good Hope Yellow clivia
I am absolutely thrilled with the Good Hope clivia you sent me. It arrived in perfect shape, far bigger than I could have hoped for and at a better price than one would have paid for seeds. I will definitely be looking through your store to see if there is anything else I can't live without. I gave away about 225 of my 250 various plants because my back can't handle the seasonal indoor/outdoor migration that is necessary to do in MN. I have wanted a yellow clivia for some time but the prices were more than I could justify. Based on what I know this plant, it might well bloom next year. You have no idea how thrilled and surprised I was to get such a lovely healthy plant, far larger than I expected, obviously healthy more than a week earlier than I expected it and for a price that no one could beat. Thank you, thank you, thank you!Peggy EichenlaubBurnsville, MN

Healthy plant
I was a bit worried when the plant shipped on the 8th and delivery was still the 19th. The plant arrived early! It had a little brown on the leaves from its coast to coast journey, but I was pleased to find a very healthy, unique plant, with great roots in VERY good soil. The plant is smaller (as described), but will grow well in time.
