Not SAE (society of automotive engineers) standard - polarity is backwards from US standard.
Not SAE compatible. Customers - your fixtures were not "wired wrong", these bulbs are manufactured backwards, because they don't conform to US standard. Company provides instructions to just "switch the positioning" of the bulb to correct their issue; this does not work. There's a reason these are so inexpensive. Company has not replied to my direct email inquiry last week so now posting for all.EDIT / UPDATE - company sent me replacement bulbs of a different model which were correct for US application. They then asked me to change this review of the initial product, contrary to Amazon policy and regulations. Their loss. Again, do not order this bulb if you want it to function in the US on commonly used fixtures.

Don't buy
The polarity of the bulb is reversed. An attachment in the box says if they don't light reverse the bulb. This is NOT possible with a bayonet base bulb such as this

Great little bulbs
These were a perfect application for restoring the electronics in my vintage motorcycle - much brighter than the old stock bulbs and fit perfectly. Made the warning lights easier to see and the gauges light up great. The throw of the light is wide and even.

Polarity is backwards, but are very brite
These are very bright, however, the polarity is backwards. I used them to replace some #1893 bulbs and the polarity was backwards on every one of them. There is a slip of paper in the package warning the polarity may be wrong and the paper says to reverse the bulb. However, these bulbs are not reversible as they connect on one bottom terminal and on the barrel (which should be ground). I had to cut and re-solder the wires for the bulbs to work. Also, the bottom "barrel" is slightly smaller than the standard bulb, so they can pull through the holder.Use with caution.

Fantastically bright and white!
I used these to replace the instrument lights on my 40 year old Honda GL500 motorcycle. They are perfect for the backlights of the speedometer and tachometer, but are so bright that I had to use the ND6 gel (see https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08818V6Y2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glc_fabc_TNNR007REJJ6Z4PJ0BMW?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1) to reduce the brightness for the turn signals and neutral light because at night they were blinding! I have been using them several weeks now and they are working great! The pack of ten was great because I needed 9 lights altogether. I love the white light in place of the incandescent yellow of the original lights!

Not dimmable
These are NOT real replacements for 1889s, as they aren't dimmable. Useless in the dash. Brightness is also disappointing.

Cheap. Clear lights, not very bright in my dash
I bought these for my 1960 oldsmobile and these lights work fine. But not very bright at all. Disappointed in how low the light is. As these seem to put out only a little more light than the factory bulbs. The LEDs are more clear and gives off a nice whitish blue lighting. I just really wish these were brighter.
