Interconfessional, not Catholic
Despite being described as a Catholic Bible, this is really an interconfessional version. In making something suitable for Catholics and non-Catholics alike, it displeases both. The deuterocanon is moved to the back of the Old Testament like Protestant Bibles do, declaring them “apocryphal”. It also includes more books than the canonical 73, which I don’t mind because Prayer of Manasseh is beautiful to read, but it’s listed amongst the deuterocanon as if it’s the same level of authority. If you’re Catholic, just spend the extra money to get the Catholic edition since it places the deuterocanon in its proper place and not to the back of the Old Testament. The Catholic edition also has a larger and more pleasant font, illustrations, and extra resources for Catholics like the Mass lectionary. Other than that, this is a very easy to understand translation and very affordable.

Wonderful version of the Holy Bible
Easy to read large print. Great value at low cost. Scripture is in plain language for greater understanding. I'm very pleased and ordered one for my younger sister.
