One of the Top 3 purchases I've ever made on Amazon!
Every human needs a cast iron skillet and this is a perfect cast iron setup to start your collection. These are extremely well made and work perfect for every single thing I've cooked on them. The smaller 'lid' skillet I probably use the most and it makes all my favorite meals better than any Teflon skillet ever could. They are nice and heavy and came in a nice box that kept them from chipping so mine were flawless! I've used these everyday since I got them and can tell they will last forever!People freak out when they see that the surface is slightly rougher and not as smooth as those $100+ skillets, but that makes no difference whatsoever. I can slide an egg across it with no problem and keep the yolk intact. As long as you keep it good and seasoned you don't need a perfectly smooth skillet. That's just rich people flair!

Great product but very heavy
I love this pan, bought it for making sourdough bread, but it is much heavier that I thought it would be compared with my cast iron Dutch oven, so be careful taking it out of the oven, or your beautiful bread might end up on the floor!

Great craftsmanship, sturdy and substantial
Bought for my son and my son-in-law as gifts to go with their Omaha Steak package :) I have no personal knowledge of function or ease-of-cleaning, as I am not the one using them.

My new breadmaker!
Okay..so I just received this item. I have been interested in baking bread for many years. I watched youtube bread making in a cast iron dutch oven recently and will be making bread after the 90 degree temps ease in Florida. I am amazed at the quality of the cast iron and the PRICE!!! Who can deny cast iron will be around alot longer than us!! I will post an update with a photo when I make bread. Right now I am seasoning the skillet and dutch oven, I can see why this is important, the color of the pan/pot definitely change with the seasoning. But ugh....450 degrees is killing me right now. It will be worth it so I am suffering for future success. I would purchase again for a gift for someone I know would appreciate it. Also buy a good oil and wrap up with the makings for bread..what a great gift! Oh and the packaging was really nice with great tips included.

Mostly good, but why the gap between handles?
I really like the overall design of this cooker set. The packaging was great, the cast iron quality is sufficiently heavy. It's a bit rough inside, compared to Lodge pans I've purchased over the years, but not a big deal for me because it's mainly used to make bread. The dough ball sits on or in parchment paper, so nothing really sticks to the pan (though I've been using the skillet side for cooking bacon, to try to smooth it out more). The only negative I can give the set is the handle setup. You have the two "loops" on one side of each pan, and the two handles on the other side. When the two items are stacked on top of each other, they fit together nicely, but there is a huge gap between the two handles, like 1/4" at the ends. Not a big deal until you go to pull the cooker out of the oven at 400F+, and you grab the handles first, and you (of course) squeeze them together, which causes the lid to open and steam to explode from the pan! Maybe I got a bad one, but it sure looks like it was designed this way.Other than that, it's a gorgeous addition to my kitchen. I'd be willing to try one of their larger skillets if anything happened to my three other Lodge pans (such as my kids stealing them when they're home from college).

My came in perfect
Just watch youtube on how to clean it and season it when it arrives. Don't use it out of the box, you want to clean it and re season it. ONly downside is that this is made in China. Had I known this I would have paid an extra 10 bucks for the lodge.

Awesome dutch oven set.
My old cast iron pan was to shallow for pot pie and cowboy casserole when camping, the biscuits always gooped over the sides. Just back from my recent outing and the dutch oven worked great, 3 qt is big enough for 4 servings, the skillet lid makes a great fry pan. Applied the 5 coats of seasoning and nothing stuck, although I ended up using 350 degrees at 1 hour instead of the recommended 450 at 1/2 hr.Lengend's customer follow up is unmatched for any online purchase I have ever made. Would certainly but their products again.
