Great lightweight coverage
I love having a good sunscreen that is tinted like this one. It is lightweight and moisturizing. Looks great if you don't have time to mess with make up. Another great thing about it is that does not cause acne and rosacea flare ups.

Still a great product for sensitive skin
I’ve been using EltaMD UV AOX Elements for a while now, even back when the packaging was different. It worked perfectly then, and it’s just as good now. The new packaging is more convenient, and the formula feels even smoother and easier to apply. I haven’t noticed any reactions on my sensitive skin, which is a big plus. The tint blends well, and it still provides great protection. Overall, it’s a reliable sunscreen that has only improved with time!

Excellent except too dark for light skin tone
Very creamy, smooth texture, and hydrating. A pretty good coverage for a sunscreen which I like very much. I also like its pure physical uv filter formula. It’s also very good under makeup. But this sunscreen is too dark for fair and light skin tone who wants a natural look. This makes my face in a distinctly different color from my neck. But texture and formula wise it’s perfect

Best sunscreen
This is the only sunscreen I use. The color works though it’s a little too dark. I like that it’s not shiny or heavy. It’s all mineral and has ingredients that are great for skin. It’s expensive, but it’s a sunscreen, moisturizing skin care, and foundation in one step. Simplifies my morning routine.

Easy to Blend Tinted Moisturizer
My dermatologist recommended me to start using a tinted moisturizer with SPF and gave me a list of his favorite brands. My challenge was finding one from his list that had a high enough SPF (more than 40 SPF) but still a “clean ingredient” product. Not all of Elta MD’s facial sunscreen passed the EWG skin deep test, but THIS specific one was on the low scale of toxic ingredients and it had great reviews. I bought it and applied it to my face the morning I received it. It’s a wonderful product, giving me the SPF that I need while still covering a few of my sunspot blemishes. There’s no bad smell and it doesn’t smell like sunscreen. The product blends super easy into your skin and I dare say that my skin looks pretty good lately. The product feels super light on your face, so it’s definitely not a foundation like the Ilia Skin Tint I was leaning towards. I have added this to my subscribe & save on Amazon because I love it that much! Highly recommend!

I really wanted to like the new formulation but I don't.
BUYER BEWARE: All those 5 star reviews are for the old formula! New formula is much thicker and not as easy to apply (doesn't glide as well). But could be ok if you don't mind that.My sunscreen journey with elta md.I have tried 3 tinted elta md sunscreens, all mineral/physical based. In case this could be useful to you when picking between different ones, here is my impression.I have been using elta md sunscreen for 6 month now.I started with the UV Physical (broad spectrum 41), and LOVED the mousse like feel that was light and the quick and easy application. I looked forward to using it. And that was a win because I usually hate sunscreens. I have fair/medium asian skin and for me the tint was appropriate and also I heard that the component of iron oxide in the tint helps protect from the UVA damaging light that ages you more. Just an extra layer of protection on top sunscreen actives. BUT unfortunately I found at the end of the day, I looked a bit dry. I could have probably used a moisturizer underneath but I didn't want to switch up my regiment for the day at that time.So I got this elta md elements 44 sunscreen here, the old formulation. It was a compromise, a bit thicker than the one above but it was also more moisturizing. My skin looked better by the end of the day without having to use a separate moisturizer, so mission accompolished (I usually use face oil after cleansing in the morning instead). So I thought I had found my sunscreen. So then I got this new bottle, the new formulation. And I almost can't stand it. On the upside, It is fine once it goes on, don't feel a thing, and the finish is fine, hence the 3 stars, but it makes me not want to use sunscreen, which makes me want to give it a one. It's much thicker and harder to apply for me. On the other hand it's easier to see areas that I have missed. I'm really sad because this is my daily face sunscreen, and it's a bit pricey for me so I just don't want to buy something that I don't enjoy using. So if you don't mind something a bit thicker and slower to apply, I think the ingredients are still probably great and can do good things for you. But if your goal is find a sunscreen that applies super easily, I wouldn't pick this one. Obviously still better than the old fashion white cast ones but still no fun. Now my skin can be different from yours but I had my friend use it and she hated it (we were cross trying different cleansers and sunscreens together). FYI my skin can be sensitive (now on retinoid so more so) and it's normal to combo (t zone) with some slightly dry areas.Hope you find the sunscreen of your dreams!
