The Nashville Bluegrass Band: Vocal Harmony Workshop - Singing Bluegrass and Gospel Songs

I was immediately impressed with these gentlemens' performance: especially the bluegrass singing, which is the subject of this video, but I would say their instrument playing is also excellent, in particular the fiddle. They explain their technique in a lively and casual way, without going into much theoretical detail. The songs: "my native home" and "backtrackin'" are so catchy, you want to join in even from the first listening. They help you by starting with duet singing, then gradually increase the number of parts, and you can try any one you feel is most suited for you. The technique of falsetto is presented, and they are vey good at it. The score is given on a booklet attached to the video, and that's a great help.They do some gospel a capella singing as well; although they are also very good in this genre, I would say they are not actually perfect, and I think this can be felt when comparing with their superior mentors, the Fairfield Four, whom they join for a public performance at the end of the program.

These guys are masters! Beautiful vocals and it is broken down for easy learning. Highly recommend for those wanting to learn harmonies.

CD not working. Won't play. I don't want to be bohered with returning trash, so I'll pitch it in the garbage and mark it up as a $20 loss.

This is an awsome video. If you love good bluegrass music this is for you, & the teaching is great too.
