Tons and tons of "thumbnail" sketches of music stars, no matter how obscure. If you're looking for biographies this is not the book but it you're looking for "everybody" this will fit the bill. Lots of research was done here.

If you are looking for information on just about any rock musician, this softcover book will provide you with the name of the musician or group; the music genre and their name or names. Great for quick research!

I love this encyclopedia but I was disappointed by the absence of photographs of the musicians.

An easy read with tons of information. Joel Whitburn books have always been great books, without disappointment. They have been used by the music industry for decades, and are now available to the general population.

"Brief bios" is right. I was expecting a little more. Kinda disappointed.

this was not for me i read some of it but i wanted to see more about the singers and what they are doing now
