nice stuff, just the right thickness for my dining room chair backs, once you do a chair - you are a pro. I routered out my grooves with a slightly smaller size drill bit at low rpm's and a near horizontal angle so as not to drill into the actual chair back. The soak in the tub and appliction of elmers wood glue seated these in there " bomber" for the drum tight stretch.

Spline
What can I say! Its a piece of spline to hold the pressed cane into a chair. It worked fine.

Okay, but not the best.
You have to soak this spline in water before using it. This is to make it pliable. But as I was pounding it into the channel it pulverized on the surface. Not enough to make unusable, but enough that I was displeased. To be fair, I did not time how long I kept it soaking. May have been too long. I have used another spline and it stayed intact. After it dried it held the caning in just fine.
