Due to the type pressure treatment process the wood in this furniture has undergone to protect against destructive insects and rot, painting with a solid color paint is not recommended. This is mainly because by painting the results expected may give unsatisfactory or less than desired results. It is perfectly fine to leave unfinished as the wood has been treated and over time will weather to a beautiful patina grey. To enhance the life of your unfinished chair(s) and/or accessories, we suggest protecting with a semi-transparent stain or clear protectant.
