Disappointed children.
A little bit disappointed with this item as it does not take a full screen photo due to the camera picking up the actually microscope edges. (See photo) You also have to be touching the image for it to pick it up which makes it impossible to look at bugs without harming them. The packaging is misleading as it shows a magnified image on the full screen of the phone. The quality of the image is okay. Sadly, it feels very cheap and the mechanism for opening to attach gets stuck sometimes. For £10 you would except something a little more substantial.

Disappointed!
Absolutely useless. I found that a normal magnifier for kids is much mich better than this phonescope also the image is always very blurry and does not magnify up to 30x as it says....maybe just 3x!!! Sooooo disappointed! And my son too!!! Don't waste your money.

Sizes don’t mean anything!!!
I picked the ‘size 3’ option, which was almost 3x the price of size 1, as the implication was that I would be receiving 3 scopes. I only received one. I’ve now ordered two more for £8 each elsewhere, that have just arrived. Exactly the same as mine. So don’t choose anything other than size 1 folks!!Apart from that it does work nicely...

Take no notice of the few negative reviews.
This is a wonderful device for the price, giving access to the microscopic world normally unseen to the naked eye. I lead nature walks for the public and this little microscope is great for revealing many features of plants and animals one would normally not be able to see. I read many of the posted reviews before purchasing one and cannot understand why some folk have given negative reviews as mine works perfectly. The fact that so many people have mobile phones with good quality cameras means the device adds another dimension for a group lead, ranger or teacher by carrying one, to be able to introduce clients/pupils/ novices to the microscopic world and what-is-more make a personal recording of the image they see. Many of the up-to-date phones, certainly the iphone, have camera settings that enable the magnification of the image to be increased considerably more and the high resolution of the image produced by the PhoneScope allows this higher magnification to be achieved without loss of quality to the enlarged image.

I don't recommend this, quality is not great
I don't recommend this, quality is not great, cheap plastic, also the packaging is extensive for such a small product, the scope works but it has to touch the object, also the lighting is not good as it obstructs half of the object you want to take a picture of! so the photos are not great!

practical, but worth trying another maker.
The phonescope arrived on time and works well but the pieces are badly made. When pushing the inside piece, for example, it gets stuck often and the edges can cut your finger. I've bought similar phonescopes before and this one is the worst I've had.
