If anyone has hiked for any distance, you want lite and compact. Throw this in your back pack and you can survive an emergency situation. FYI, batteries not included with the flashlight. I made the blade a little sharper. Take everything out to see how all the parts work. Take a picture before taking it all apart. Every space is used to the max. I payed $12 for a survival bracelet. The one in this pack had a compass and a cutting tool on it.You could cut branches. Start a fire. Have light. Protect yourself. Stay warm. And find food if your good enough. Or you might want to throw a few protein bars in your pack with a plastic bottle with a water filter or tablets to clean the water. Better to be safe than sorry and that could save your life!:) I attached the bracelet to the side of the case to make room for batteries. Took the pen out to save weight. Put it in my car in case I need to break the window in an emergency or write a grocery list.

very bad quality of the knife
I received everything well, I will try it in real lifeUPDATE MAY/15/18: I had a car accident and the safety belt got stuck, I used the knife and surprisingly it broke, yes, it broke when putting force against the seatbelt, very bad quality of the knife, if my life had depended on it and if not I would I have carried another knife of another brand, I would not be telling it.I forget that the wire saw is also the Is not the best quality, when it makes a test of strength in real life, it seems to be about to break.

Has just about everything you need
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. The Outad Emergency Survival Kit is a great beginner kit, it definitely has the essentials. The case is well constructed, easy to open and small enough to travel with. Everything fits inside but there is no room to add to the box. You could switch items out in order to personalize the kit if you wanted to

Small kit, toss it in the car just in case. Wouldn't buy it for family or friend. Everything seemed to be tiny.
