Smiley Shark (Ocean Adventures)

For a long time, this has been one of my daughter's favorite books. Although she can't quite read (we are "pre-reading" right now) she has every page of this book memorized, and insists on reading it to everyone in the house...her stuffed animals, her dog, her brother. This is a cute, fun story. It is also simple to read, so it would be perfect for children just learning to read.

I bought this book for my 4 year old son. He used to loves sharks, but a few months ago developed a strong fear of them. For a month straight, he was afraid to go to bed because he said he got "bad nightmares" about sharks. He would toss and turn and cry out in his sleep, so I know that he wasn't just trying to stay up later. As soon as I read the description for Smiley Shark, I thought it sounded perfect.I am happy to report that he loves the book and was willing to believe that the shark was just smiling and not scary. The illustrations are bright and cheerful; he loves the expressions on the various sea creature's faces.

A very fun book! Fidgety Fish was one of my favorites to read my daughter and when I found out about this one, I had to get it. Not as good as Fidgety Fish, but still a fun read!

Fun book used at my preschool. When the old copy became too worn out to use, had to purchase a new one.

My grandson enjoys this book and its companion about the Octopus. The pictures are beautiful and have many types of fish in them. It is very good for little ones who enjoy the bright and busy books.

Love it. Fun and cheery. It's one of our favorites.

This book is fantastic for 11 months - 4 years old. The story includes rhyming and exciting expression.
