Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale (Reader's Guides)

Well written. Great material on Atwood.

This is such a realistic story! In the back of my mind I kept saying " this could happen so easily!" A must read, a thriller!

As a chapter by chapter explanation of the text this is good, but that's just not what I was looking for. The amount of analysis of themes, language and criticism was very sparse. York notes will serve you better for both chapter/section analysis and critical reading to be honest. The questions at the end of the chapter analysis were interesting, but how will they help a student to learn if there are no answers for them to refer to? A shame, because it looked so promising from reading the first section...
