Sturdy and coated well im not worried about using it in my barrels.
It feels strong and not like its about to break when putting a little pressure on it. I dont have to worry about breaking at the threads in the middle or having the tip break off in the barrel like I do with other rods on the market. It has a good coating on it that is very slick and wont scratch. Its very long and uses one single piece so cleaning is easy and without worry.

A must have to maintain a rifle's accuracy
I you want to maintain your rifle barrel's accuracy, you must have & use this for cleaning. The polymer coating will protect the rifle's rifling and avoid damage to the barrel crown. The one-piece design likewise prevent gouging the riflingand directs cleaning patches consistently through the barrel. Paired with a bore guide, this will make cleaning a breeze without spilling/fouling the rifle's chamber with solvents & debris.

great value
This thing is literally a couple dollars, and ships in a case so you don't get your wife's stuff dirty when you inevitably sit it somewhere you shouldn't.The bearings could stand to be a bit smoother, but it does spin easily. Its lightweight, and gets the job done. Just make sure you buy the right model for your twist rate and caliber. Another win from Birchwood Casey, I'm seriously blown away by the value and durability at such a low price point.

Birchwood Casey 12" Cleaning Rod
A good 12" cleaning rod for pistols. Birchwood Casey quality fits .22 and so useful for the full rang of calibers with the right patches. Looks good and worth the money.

Smooth and Sturdy: Birchwood Casey Coated Cleaning Rod Review
Alright, let's talk about the Birchwood Casey Coated Cleaning Rod. If you're into keeping your firearms spick and span, this thing’s a gem.First off, the coating on this rod is top-notch. It’s smooth as silk, which means it glides through your gun barrel without scratching or causing any damage. I’ve used some rough rods before, and let me tell you, this one’s a game-changer in terms of being gentle on your firearm. The durability is impressive too. It’s got this sturdy feel to it, like it’s built to last. I’ve given it a fair share of use, and it’s holding up like a champ. The best part? It’s versatile. I’ve used it on different types of guns – rifles, pistols, you name it – and it performs consistently well across the board. Plus, it’s compatible with various cleaning tips and attachments, which adds to its versatility.Another thing I appreciate is the length options. They’ve got different sizes available, so you can pick the one that suits your firearm best. No one-size-fits-all nonsense here!Overall, if you want a cleaning rod that’s smooth, durable, and gets the job done without putting your firearm at risk, Birchwood Casey’s got your back. It’s become my go-to rod, and I don’t see that changing any time soon.
