It works wonders.
Some people collect dolls. I collected moles traps had every variety that is out there. Used peanuts, smoke bombs etc etc. We then got a border collie. She dug up 60 moles in one season. She was the princess! Then she got old and couldn’t dig anymore. So researched and found Taliprid. It works. Not as good as the dog but if you follow directions and especially do not get human scent on them it works. I cut them in thirds so they go farther. I also put peanut butter on them and that seemed to help also. The dog died had her 14 years . I will continue using Taliprid for the rest of my life.😁

Talpirid Mole Bait
This was my last straw with Mole traps, killing devices, smoke/stink bombs, sonic solar powered getto blasters and every other device on the market for the last 10 years. I have been chasing these *@#"%^$ critters for that long. The ultimate insult was while setting one of those spike trap in an "active" tunnel, suddenly about 3 feet from me dirt starts flying up right out of the ground. I grabbed my garden scoop and started to jab at that little *+@#%>. Jab, jab, jab, tear at it, then grab grass clumps trying to pull it out to get that SOB. I wanted that critter bad. You can probably guess the result. Nothing, then about 3 days latter, a new group of mounds and new "active" tunnels appear! This Spring I went on a new Internet hunt for a real Mole killing device. I have long passed on that humane junk. If I could have got some little C4 plastic explosive worms that would be triggered by the *%&#$! I would have bought them. Obviously there were no devices like that but I did run across the Talpirid Mole Bait "Kills Moles" product. I checked references to Talpirid on a number of college and industrial websites. The price was rather steep but I had been through so many attempts to eradicate the mole population that took over my 2 mowed acres I ordered the Talpirid Mole Bait Box of 20 bated worms. I will admit to being a skeptic, having been through the world of Mole eradicators. My first try I worked on 4 separate mound/tunnel housing units. As our land is very fertile, the Champlain valley in Vermont, the tunnels do not appear per all those Internet photos. I have to probe. I select a new mound of dirt then go out about 2' from it's center and start to probe with a big old dull screwdriver going around the mound a couple of inches at a time. Going gently you will discover the new tunnel. When I find the tunnel, I simple enlarge my entry hole by just rotating the screwdriver around just enough so I can get a finger down the hole to check that it is the actual tunnel. That is large enough that can slip in a Talpirid Mole Bait worm and gently covered the hole again trying not to disturb the tunnel dirt itself. For the four "housing units" I placed two or three Talpirid worms in different places a few of feet apart in the tunnel. It took three to four weeks before something happened. New mound construction had dissipated and I found a series of 3 or 4 close to the surface tunnels going toward the road! A few weeks later my neighbor Wayne calls me and asks about my moles! Well, suddenly, Wayne has moles destroying his lawn while I have seen no activity. A few days later Wayne comes over to ask me directly "what did you use to get rid of them?" Talpirid worms!

One Star
Used all of them and it did not kill a Mole. Not one.

Really do work!!!
These worms really do work. A little pricey but well worth it. Yard was full of mole runs. Now totally gone. Used two worms a small distance apart when a run popped up. Made a small hole in run not the mound and inserted a worm. Covered the hole and run disappeared a short time later. I do not flatten the runs. These worms saved our yard.

It Works
Seem expensive . . . until you factor in that these creepy little gummy worms actually do the job. A large part of my third acre garden (lawns, flower beds, and trees) was criss-crossed with mole burrows. I tried most of the cheaper alternatives, which added up to spending way more than the Talpirid worms, and none of them worked. So, in mole desperation, ordered the Talpirid, read the instructions thoroughly, donned my hazmat suit, and buried five of the little worms spaced around the mole underground freeway. Three days later, no more burrows, which I think means no more moles. They didn't just move out of range, they're gone to mole heaven/hell. That was several months ago, and I remain mole free. Like most products, Talpirid might not work for everyone, but it's worth a try -- especially before you waste money on all the "cheaper" mole eradicators that just don't work.

Indeterminate results - and my methodology.
It is hard to quantify any specific success with this product: I have no dead moles to exhibit! On the other hand, the reduced number of "feeder" tunnels and mounds is really encouraging. My method of attack is a bit different than described in the instructions. I have done this for the last two years because the moles seem to take a winter break from my lawn. Living in the northwest, I can only assume that they go somewhere farther south for a drier break. Specifically, I actually split the "worm" lengthwise then in half in order to have more "units" available for a wider availability pattern for the mole. The hypothesis here is that if the moles like them - and find them in enough places, they will eat all they can, somewhat like others who overdose. On balance, this seems to be working. I must admit that actually dispatching one of these critters with a shovel ( to stun it) and a quick dig is much more satisfying. But, you have to actually see one of them moving dirt in the feeder tunnel in order to do that, and I hate spending that much time watching for the grass to move.

talprid
If properly placed, these things work great! I've tried pellets and repellents and vibrating electronic devices with no luck. After using these, the activity on the active runs seems to have ceased and I haven't seen any new runs...yet. I've tried cheaper versions from other vendors but they don't seem to work as well. You can save yourself some money and get more out of the same package by cutting the worms in half. Put half a worm in each run and get the same results...dead moles!!

works but kinda expensive
I purchased the 20 pack of "worms" which cost about $40. The yard had two separate "runs", but following label instructions, the 20 worms did not go very far. I needed to rebait both runs twice. It appears that there was some success in eradicating the infestation, however, the price of the product is its downfall.
