Fun to paint and turned out beautiful.

The paints were almost dried out. It took quite a bit of water to reconstitute them. The "canvas" is some type of heavy paper that really soaks up the moisture in the paint so they don't spread too well. The numbers are miniscule, even where they don't need to be. You have to be careful when painting, because some numbers are almost on the line between colors and if you go over a fraction, you cover up the other number. Large, twisting areas to paint (because of the subject) only have one tiny number to designate the color. Sometimes it is like an Easter egg hunt to determine which color is required. All said, the painting, when done, is very nice.

I purchased this paint by number painting based on prior purchases. However, unfortunately when I purchased this painting I did not realize it was a soft canvas that would come to me folded into squares. (and not very neatly) It came with no information on how to prepare the canvas for painting. (which if done professionally might cost up to $99 for the correct stretcher bars to hold it taught. It also had no information about how to remove the messy creases from the canvas. For $23 this was a total waste. It was supposed to be a gift for my thirteen year old granddaughter. Needless to say, I could not give this as a Christmas present, had to order a framed version and spend $12 more for it. The least that the manufacturer could do was to ship the canvas rolled up in a tube. How hard would that be? Additionally, the paints provided do not allow for much detail in shading, unlike other paint by number sets that offer huge range of shades. We will see how it works out. I kept the painting for my self to do after taking a chance at ironing out the creases and taping securely to a piece of particle board of the appropriate size.

I am giving this 3 stars because I find it an easy PBN and it is a beautiful.Pros: Vibrant colors, easy to do, brushes are really good.Cons: Creases will not go away no matter what I do, the canvas sucks causing the paint to miss the deep holes in the canvas so you have to go over it again and again to get full coverage, in the future I would put about 2-3 layers of Gesso on it first, the paints are very thick and need stirred with a few drops of water at first and during painting, numbers are hard to hide even before thinning the paint down so you have to go over the numbers again after that section dries.
