I watched it several times more, then decided to buy the book that movie was based on., "Remember The TIme: Protecting Michael Jackson in His Final Days." It is very honest and well-balanced. There is none of the sensationalism/rumors and outright lies that you might find in other biographies or autobiographies about Michael. These two men cared about Michael and his family, even going several months without pay because there was nobody else to protect them.Bill and Javon are loyal to MJ even to this day. They did not receive any money for this book, but felt the need to set the record straight about MJ's final days. Bill and Javon had to deal with the pressure of guarding MJ and his children 24/7. They had to check MJ's fan mail, filtering out the threatening letters, so MJ would never see those. Any threats had to be checked out to ensure these mentally unhinged "fans" weren't serious about carrying them out.The two men also had to deal with the power struggle/politics between MJ's various family members, lawyers and personal assistants, such as Raymone Bains, who later tried to get more money from the estate even after she had been given a generous severance settlement. Javon and Bill also had to deal with being away from their own families for months at a time when on assignments with MJ. They found themselves pushed aside at times by MJ's latest personal assistant and not getting paid for months on end. Yet they never held that against Michael; they knew who they were up against. It was sad knowing how MJ's own people he hired took advantage of Michael, giving themselves high salaries and living in luxury condos, rent paid for by MJ. Bill and Javon knew that Michael's finances were a mess, yet they couldn't do anything but watch the train wreck while trying to protect MJ and his children.This book is a fast read, very interesting and you'll find it hard to put their book down once you start reading. It is fast-paced and a true insider's view of the world of Michael Jackson. I highly recommend it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Could not put it down! *by S***L on Reviewed in the United States on June 14, 2014* I thought I would enjoy this for a couple of weeks, take it up to Starbuck’s on Sunday for a while … but Sunday’s not here yet, and I’ve already read it! I literally could not make myself stop reading. I work at home and usually have a lot of discipline, but I found myself starting late in the morning, because I had to read this book for a while, and my favorite Netflix show in the evening got pushed to the wayside while I was engrossed in this book. I really did not want to finish it so fast, but oh well. I soaked in every page like a sponge. Fascinating. Bill and Javon really helped me understand even more about Michael. I read some reviews online. Some people think their story about not getting paid for a long time, and that they kept working without getting paid, seemed unbelievable, but I believe them. I think Michael really had lost control of his money. He didn’t know how much he had or what it was going to. He could not make things happen, like getting his bodyguards paid. I think he was sort of in a dream world. After reading this book, it made me wish it would have worked out with Lisa Marie, because I think she could have been a real strong support for him. It seems like no one around him, even his family, really cared about him, only his money and what they could get out of him (except for mom and kids). It broke my heart that he had waited for weeks to go to Liz’s 75th birthday party and had made all these preparations to get ready to go, then Randy drives on his property at the last minute and causes a big scene, makes him too late to go, and Michael just goes to his room by himself. He missed the party, just talked to Liz on the phone. Also, Randy was there about money, and maybe Michael did owe him money, but he didn’t know how to get anyone paid. I think he felt helpless and used. I don’t think his family understood his situation at all. People that were supposed to be handling his money were spending it on themselves, millions of dollars that Michael didn’t even know about. He left other people in charge that were dishonest losers in my opinion. What a life he had. I hope he is resting in peace now, happy living in the light, where he belongs for all the good he did in this world. Really clarified some off the real stuff that was going on with their lives, he and his children, and the way it was written its just amazing and exciting.
