They sound fine. Better than what's in most cars, especially the older one that you are changing the speakers in. If you love music, I recommend that you first get an after market amp. That's more important than the speakers. But if you still want better, I would spend more to get better. You do get what you pay for. That said, these will probably sound pfine to most people, especially if you're just hooking them up to your stock stereo. Definintely good value for the price.
