With a new camera, I wanted a second battery. And the previous Lenmar battery lived up to the ratings, so I bought a Lenmar for this camera. I use it as much as the original Canon battery. The 5 stars isn't because it exceeds my expectations, it's that I expect perfection from this battery and I have not been disappointed with it.UPDATE: Well, it's been a year. I have changed the rating from a 5 to a 3. After a few months, the battery never seems to fully charge, even after several hours on the Canon charger, and it rarely lasts for more than a few photos. This one did not perform like the other Lenmar I had purchased.

Other reviewers are right. This camera provides half the battery life of an original Canon NB-6L. The Canon battery is rated at a relatively low 220 shots in a Canon S90 and an even lower 200 shots in a Canon S95. Don't expect more than half that many shots with this replacement battery. For the price, this is a reliable spare battery for those days when you need some extra juice to backup your primary Canon battery.

For the price you can't go wrong. Just don't expect it to hold up to heavy use like the Canon battery because it can't. Still it can get you out of a jam if you still have pictures to take at the end of the day. Don't think I would buy another though. Back to Canon for another battery. You get what you pay for.

Great inexpensive and reliable replacement for Canon batteries. Not sure if it gets the same number of charge cycles, but I've purchased several of these and they've survived many cycles. I would be concerned about lessor brands for replacement batteries because of the potential for overheating and fire. Lenmar has been reliable for me and is reputable in the industry.

holds a nice charge, although not as long as Canon's own product. I can usually use the Canon battery most of the day on a trip, but the Lenmar knock-off will usually need to be replaced by mid-afternoon. However, for the difference in cost, it was worth it to me.

The price is half less than the original canon nb-6l but you also get half the performance. This will only last a day on heavy use, while the original lasts 3 days or less. Overall, it's a fair spare battery if you're on the budget side.

I get similar performance from this battery (as many shots). Unfortunately, after a year and half (maybe 3000 pictures) it will no longer hold a charge. It says it has a 2 year warranty, but I haven't tried to get a new battery through warranty yet...Okay, I just tried to warranty the battery, which is actually apparently a 3 year warranty. Unfortunately, they require you to pay the shipping to return the battery and pay $7.50 fee on top of that. So, I paid about $13 for the battery originally and now that it has failed half way through the warranty period, they want me to pay pretty much the same price to get a replacement? That is dumb.

The battery works satisfactorily. I bought this as a backup battery. Between the two batteries, I can take several hundred photos during an outing.
