Quality is bad on low light, camera struggles to record, cables a bit short
Decent image quality on daylight, night light recording is really bad, it creates avi files in 4:2:0 YUV compression which is super large, I got a 64GB card filled in a few minutes, you keep the card for when the car is parked or on collisions but still a H264 compression would have been a far better choice, who uses avi these days anyway when everything is streaming in H264 . The biggest issue here is that i'm ending up with 1.22GB files that have 0 seconds and cannot be used, might be something fishy on the recording side. I tried different settings, it only got worseLens wise the front camera is far better than the back camera but the whole point of a mirror is to see what's behind the car and the back cam seems more desaturated than the front one and a bit lower quality. It's not a big issue but when you have them side by side you starting to wonder why the difference so big. Also the fact that you cannot switch the position of the side by side cameras is a bit of an issue, you might want to have the front camera on the left and back on the right or the other way around depending on how your car is driven, left or right hand but that you cannot change. In order to have the front camera capture the frontal car view you have to keep the mirror perpendicular to the windshield but that means you always look at the mirror slightly slanted and you're getting environment reflections on the screen. If you adjust the mirror to be how you use it traditionally the from camera does not cover the whole front view being orientend slightly to the side, there is no side control for the camera lens just up or down. Also there is no zooming option and due to a really wide lens details are really hard to see in the mirror thus the need or zooming sometimes. Also the manual is pretty much flimsy not explaining properly what the symbols on the screen are and how to properly use it. I would like to have the dashcam on a continuous stream and at a press of a button to be able to record but I have no clue how to set it up or even if this is possible. On the current compression it will fill up the card in no time with a lot of garbage.Once recorded the playback is stretched instead of cropped on the mirror display but it's fine on a computer, it's just a matter of playback on the mirror dash which makes it pretty much useless, very hard to see any details when the image is compressed vertically so much when it should have been cropped.Another issue is related to the length of the cables, they are about 1-2 feet short and due to the fact that I have the lighter next to the gear shift it's not enough to lay it properly I had to do a bit of a sloppy workI returned it because of the compression, image quality, file size and stretching factor.

Night use a bit disappointing because of glare..
First time use was at night. It immediately became apparent that distant, following, headlights glare so badly that it almost washes out the entire view - the night setting seems to make very little difference. This was on a UK motorway, mid November. Colour is also very washed out, to the point of being (almost) monochrome. Red lights of receeding vehicles running opposite direction, also show as very bright white lights, adding to the glare previously mentioned. I suspect much of this is unavoidable because of the way that night vision works. The situation does improve considerably when slowing to town driving and following vehicles are much closer. The rear facing camera is currently (temprorarily) fitted inside the rear window (weather was not conducive to a more permanent fitting at the time) - so I wonder if the glass may in part be to blame? While waiting for a reply from the seller, I am going to experiment with IR blocking filter and / or ND filters that I have in my camera bag! In all other respects (so far - it's only one day old) it seems to be very good quality. We (my daughter and I share same car) particularly like the wider field of view to the rear, and the lack of childrens heads as would be seen in a 'normal' mirror!

quality seems good time will tell
Very clear picture front and back but a bit disappointed that you hadn't got an option for orienteering the reverse camera. It has to under slung where as i wanted to put it on the roof . on the roof the camera brackets only allow for one way of mounting hence when i fitted the reverse camera everything was upside down. it would be an easy fix to modify the bracket and make the camera two directional. the reason i wanted to mount it on the roof is because my rear doors on my van curl and over lap the roof.so had to make a plate to over sling the doors to get a clear view of the bumper. It just made it that more difficult to mount.

Easy But Not Extraordinary
Not a bad system at all. Quite easy to use and install (most of it anyway). I did not have the rear-view reverse option installed as this requires a pro to do it and my car already has a reverse camera setup (Outlander). So, let's look at the pro's and cons:Pros:Easy to installNice wide screenGood quality imagery (front camera)Good touch screen responseStraight forward setup optionsTwo cameras for good traffic overviewSuper sharp mirror image quality when switched off (if you just want to use the screen like a normal mirror)Cons:Get a pro to install reverse support option (unless you are confident at making holes in your own car :-)Rear view camera quality is not as sharp as frontCan get quite a lot of reflections of surrounding objects (this is the downside of having sharp mirror quality screen)Night vision is not super greatA little bulky in its design but it's not too significant

Clear roads ahead!!
Wow - well I have wanted a dash cam for a while after a few issues out of my control with my car. I honestly thought it would be difficult to set up and would take lots of maintenance and would make driving more difficult.... I was wrong! This is the best purchase I have made in a long long time and I am so happy I did.Firstly delivery was great it all comes securely packed and in a neat box with all contents there and instructions to simply set up.When I first saw the clip on mirror I was sceptical about how easy it would be but it really only takes minutes. There are more functions than the normal car user needs so it’s fantastic and offers so much more.Front and rear view and camera quality is really clear. I am very happy.Only feedback I have for any buyer is make sure you have a 32gb tf card so you won’t be waiting on a card when your cam arrives as they are sold separately.
