The price is excellent for what I received. First it comes with a little guide in what temperatures should be for meat which I love and find very handy. Second it comes with an additional battery which is very nice since this should last as it has autoshut off after 10 sec. It is very easy to read and use and love that they added a bottle opener which makes this perfect for grilling and for when I am making beer. It has fast temperature read and have no problems with the temperature accuracy. It has a magnet on it which is very helpful for me to grab from my fridge or attach to the grill. And best of all it comes with a guarantee that you will love it. The only thing I would change would to be make it a little more compact but I can understand its design with the bottle opener. Don’t let the low price scare you away from the purchase as I highly recommend this.

Consistent readout compared with another thermometer as well as home's digital thermostat (ambient air temp). 5 stars overall, but gave 4 stars for the "Easy to read" criteria: numbers are large, but sometimes wish the backlight stayed on for several more seconds; requires pressing the button again.Recommended.

I bought this thermometer specifically because the probe seemed to be better attached to the unit than other units. That was indeed the case, it is much sturdier than the other two thermometers I have.My biggest complaint is that the display backlight turns off in mere seconds (4 seconds on mine!!!), I would have greatly preferred a toggle to keep it on while measuring. I use it to temper chocolate and it is difficult to read without the backlight on, unless you are in very bright light or have it facing directly at you. That said, a temporary solution is to hit the On button again. It usually takes about 8 seconds to read so I've gotten into the habit of pressing the backlight button when I think it's close enough.

This product is exactly what it says it is. I used to have an old thermometer that wasn't digital and this thermometer is so much better. It is sturdy and even has a compliment can opener too. I use this thermometer for making soap and it reads quickly and accurately. I tested it with my had and you can see my hand temperature being read. I love that it folds up and the stainless steel wipes off nicely. The display is also easy to read. Would totally recommend this product!

i've only tested it but i guess it's pretty much accurate +- 5 degreeit feels real sturdy and is easy to usei took points off for accuracy becuase it said my cup of ice water (pack with ice and some water is 35 degree and my boiling water is 205 maybe it has some thing to do with where i live

The thermometer has both Fahrenheit and Celsius readings. I use the thermometer for making bread (making sure the water temperature is just right for the yeast), for telling when we reach the perfect temperature for steaks.

the respose is very quickly once it touches the steak. And the temperature showing on the screen is accurate and easy to read. this is the item i bought recently from amazon with the top satisfactory. right now i am only concerned about the duration about the use. i hope it could be used for quite a long time! anyway, i will recommend this thermometer to my friends since all of us like steak and find the ideal thermometer to search for the best temperature about steak. and if it could be used for a long time, i will write a review later to tell you guys.

Works well and good value for the price. Very accurate when checked with other precision instruments including a mercury thermometer.
